I have nowhere to watch dramas!
My computer is just nonsense. If i tried to do more than the watch it would pack up its mouse and keyboard and walk away.
I have a roku but its on the tv in my bedroom. Theres no place to sit in there! But just laying there watching tv makes me fall asleep.
The tv downstairs is just a tv. I cant watch dramas on it.
But today. Today I wanted some dramas so I hauled the good tv downstairs and the My Love From the Star marathon is back in full swing.
It occurs to me I need to learn balance. 8 books read in 3 days. Havent touched a book all day.
Binge a drama in a day. Wont watch another one for a month. How do people balance things?

Oh it is going down. My little Song Yo did the opposite of the adage: keep your friends close but your enemies closer. She kept Se Mi close because she considered her a friend but noooo honey. Se Mi is not your friend girl. And now Se Mi is being a jerk to Song Yi. But looky here, punk. You were the fl in what? The last few eps of an established drama that the fl was fired from after being accused of murder. If you couldnt handle that then….get out of the business. A few short eps dont make you a star, honey! Youre gonna get yours child!

I now speak like my grandma and my aunts. So theres that.

Why is there suddenly all of these murder attempts in my fluffy romcom?

Yeah sweetheart. I dont think youll be able to write this one off as a “you saw it wrong”.

Also. Your Royal Hotness. Stop doing terrible things. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I binged this entire series in two-ish days a week before I was supposed to take my licensing ethics exam. I had not even looked at the material at that point. I still have zero regrets about that. I think I ordered a ton of takeout and just curled up in an ikea chair with my laptop on the desk and didn’t move unless it was necessary. I should do that again one day, but with a tv this time.

What books did you read? I’ve been reading a lot lately and could always add to my overly long list. (Also, how are you? I feel like it’s been a while. I haven’t been around these parts much lately. Existentially exhausted these days.)

I have been thinking about you all week! It has been ages but Ive not brrn hanging on the wall or discord super often here lately so its possible Ive just missed you. Lets see. I read this weekend:
Charming as a Verb (basic teen novel but excellent characters amd writing)

How to speak boy (i have read this exact plot 78 times in the last 3 months. Two enemies accidentally atart writing to each other anonymously and fall in love)

Felix Ever After a sweet romance. Lgbtq

My almost flawless tokyo dream life. The teen part (friends and romance) boring. But the rest of it? So interesting! I wish she had focused on it more. Her mom had a relationship with the japanese equivalent of a chaebol and got pregnant. They paid her off and he was sent back to japan. When shes 15ish her mom gets in a car accident and becomes addicted to pain killers and falls down a slippery alope to dealing to prison. She goes into all of these foster homes (bad to worse) when on her 16th birthday shes swept up to Japan and finds herself dealing with an unemotional alchoholic father amd a racist grandmother. But the author mostly focuse on the teen romance/friendship stuff.

The Princess Saves herself in this one. A book of poetry. It actually got a ton if bad reviews on goodreads but iy legit spoke to the broken parts of my soul and made me tear up.

Oh. Meme. I keep forgetting that I read this book on friday. These kids think that their good friends ex is bullying her and actually think hes a legit threat. Isntead of going to the police they decide to strup down to their all together and murder him. Interesting premise. Terrible book.

An Inconvenience Woman. SO GOOD! A woman named Claire is convinced that her exhusband is a child molester (her daughter said as much before drowning) . Everyone thinks that Claire is crazy and Simon (the ex) is perfect. Simon hires a sin eater (is that a real thing?) to protect him, his fiance and her daughter (the same age as Claires daughter when she married Simon. A coincidence? Hmmmm) from Crazy Claire. The book is from the pov of Claire as she tries to figure out how far shes willing to go to stop a monster and the sin eater who is trying to stop her.
Oh and I finished Ritials. The last book in a Kelley Armstrong series. By the time I got to this book I eas basically hate reading. The first and thr last are decent. The 3 in the middle are total trash.

Also, what are you reading? Are you watching anything? I was/am hard core slumped and retreated to 90s nostalgia. Literally the only thing I have been watching is an ep.a week of It Started with a Kiss eith ayaan on discord. I started watching My Love maybe back in November. It took me almost an entire ep to remember why everyone was so mad at Song Yi. I downloaded the discord app since my computer is nonsense and now get notifications every single time anyone posts anything and that group is loving Run On. So I started that today when I couldnt find the new Noona romance anywhere.

I really should figure out discord one of these days and join y’all over there. I’ve barely been here since what I thought was a month but my wall tells me I haven’t posted since October…I know I’ve lurked a bit but not as much as before. It’s been a wild few months, hasn’t it?

I’ve been catching up on some of the YA Fantasy that was big when I was in law school and too busy to read – just finished Six of Crows last night, starting sequel today. Also just finished A Sky Beyond Storm which was a great conclusion to the Ember series. Was on a Shirley Jackson kick at the end of last year, and have been listening to audiobooks too. Currently listening to Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and Three Dark Crowns. Not sure how I feel about the latter, may not finish it. Also reading Amber Ruffin’s book, which is funny.

Plan to read the Daevabad trilogy next – I read the first book when it came out but the other two were so long I never had the time.

Currently watching Run On which is my weekly crack. I also like LIVE On but the subs are taking fooorrrrevvvverrrr on Viki. I watched most of Sweet Home over new years weekend, just need to finish last two eps. May check out Sunbae this week. I was basically glued to the news from Jan 6-12, and then watched the figure skating championships this weekend. No drama has really grabbed me lately, and I have like four dramas from last year that I like a lot but still haven’t watched the last 4 episodes of.

I don’t balance things. I stay up way too late because I have kids/a job that require me to do stuff, but then I want to watch dramas/read anyway 😅

Drama? Are you trying to make me feel badly for Se Mi? Because shes the literal worst.
