I know Dam I’s identity must be discovered some how by the vile cousin uncle couple but the whole thing with twin umbilical cords is just dumb. No way grandpa and crown princess would have left such an important evidence of the twin for it to come back biting them like this.
I guess it was done before the King’s decision, just after their birth, they took it and put in the jar as usual. Nobody thought about it after because they were too occupied to save Dam-Y. I don’t think men like the King or her grandpa were interested in such things to think about it later.
I disagree. Given that the umbilical cords are meaningful enough for the royal family to collect and save (worship?) them, it’s just unbelievable that grandpa knew to kill the doctors and servants but forgot the twin umbilical cords (THE evidence). If the royal family had thought that that evidence could stay, they would have felt comfortable announcing that the Crown Princess had twins but one died upon birth. Why would they hide the fact but then leave obvious evidence for speculation?
Men don’t watch the birth processus. How the umbilical cord usually ends in the jar is surely not their first concern… It’s a detail. But this night, they were very busy to kill all the witnesses (they were pretty numerous) and the mother to save her daughter… An umbilical cord? I’m not surprised they forgot about it.

Yeah that was lame. Saving an unnecessary umbilical cord for 24 years, why?

haha I see where you’re going. I guess I expect too much shrewdness from the adults.
