Any Beanies want to pitch in on their favorite kdrama tattoo/s?❤️ I’ve been mulling over the ones I can remember, but want to keep thinking about it (& maybe, just maybe, finding pics to remind me!😅)

Does anyone remember the one which Dr’s Son had from Heartless City had? And they EDITED OUT? That confused me and made me angry. They’d gone through all the trouble to do a massive dragon / tiger? on his back… 🙁

What a waste! It’s still my favourite character for Jung Kyoung-Ho.

I stumbled upon an article about tattoos and the artists that do them in S.Korea yesterday, and I can’t link to it but I was not aware they were not only taboo related to the gang history, but to allow cosmetic tattoos (like eyebrows) done by certified doctors to be OK but not be a tattoo artist (like the main subject of the article) they did go so far as to make it illegal to give tattoos unless one is a doc. Crazy. They’ve apparently formed a union and are trying to show they are educated and not reckless and are valued.

The article also went into how the profusion of Kidols/actors with tatts has helped turn the tide w/in public perception though barely moving the needle, in all honesty. I mention this latter bit because of you mentioning the blurring and the article did say how whether the idol/actors actual tatt was being blurred or cases like you wrote about where it’s like “Ok, so this is as bad as a knife blade you have to blur…right.”🤨

Quote from the article, in case it helps anyone that wants to look it up: “When I am overseas, working with celebrities such as Brad Pitt, people call me ‘artist’,” Doy, whose real name is Do Yoon Kim, tells the BBC.

“However, once I return to Korea, I am a lawbreaker.”
