You know what I absolutely detest in dramas? Toilet humour! It is the absolute worst! So King the land just got a minus bean from me just for that…and also ‘King The Land’ feels like such a weird thing to say. I’ll call it Kings Landing from now on 😂 It seems like a quirky romance still so will watch ep 2.

As for SYIM19thL, I’d watch anything with SHJ. I liked it. I bit iffy about the childhood noona romance and also the ‘age gap’ in the current timeline. I also haven’t seen any glimpse of chemistry on screen. But that being said their shared screen time was minimal! Waiting for ep 2!

I detest toilet humour too. Its just simply not funny and it doesn’t do anything

I don’t hate toilet humor but this just wasn’t funny.

The pacing of King feels off, it’s too slow and dragged out. I hope they get some actual comedy and movement going.

I agree about the pacing. Also, maybe it was just me because i watched it in installments but the scenes felt disjointed which i think is because of the pacing

I’m going to keep watching both shows, as I liked the first episodes enough to want to continue, but I wasn’t sold on the childhood connection in 19th Life. It seemed more like a noona-dongsaeng relationship, with a heaping dose of trauma, so the romance angle felt a bit shoe-horned in, but I have always struggled with romances involving old souls in young bodies being with ‘normal’s.🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it worked for me because for her she made a connection with someone who made her feel normal. His childlike innocence was what she needed to see and live that moment.
I did not expect her to ask him to date her. Which totally came out of the blue. I was expecting her to be protective of him and help him and in the process they fall in love. So yeah I need to see how this is handled in ep 2.

I like your version much better – I would have loved to watch that process of them falling in love!😊

I’m probably a hard sell because I am not charmed by precocious children.🤣 I love the sass and spark of the younger version of her character (especially in this 19th life), but I would have just found Seo Ha annoying. This is why I did the world a favour by not becoming a s school teacher.😁

Add me to that list. I don’t don’t find it funny. And I ff-Ed to the end of the drama when I saw she had to ‘go’ urgently.
I am sure there were better ways to make them interact.

Maybe you’re confused about the chemistry? It’s between the viewers and Junho. 😆
