3 – Side character that stole the drama

Like so many side characters who fail to save a sinking ship of a bad drama *coughjohnandjiwancough* my picks for side characters who stole the drama are the high school kiddos in Crash Course in Romance. The drama itself was disappointingly plagued by annoying characters, random serial killers, loopy logic, tired repeated scandals, and (imo) a total lack of chemistry between the leads. But I was never not cheering for these kids. I wanted them to do well, to have non-traumatizing relationships with their often terrible parents, to figure out their own complicated love lives, and just to succeed in general. Su-a was terrible but I was even glad that she was in a much healthier place by the end, and I just can’t say enough good things about Hae-ee, Seon-jae, Geon-hu, and Dan-ji. I’d be happy forgetting that most of this drama ever happened, but these characters made it slightly more worth it.
