confession time: i live watched because this life is our first until ep 4, then i had an exam so i stopped watching it. and in those 4 episodes I LOVED THE SHOW. The dialogue and the narration hit me so hard ;-; I never knew the drama would receive so much love and I’m glad it did, but now to be honest I’m quite apprehensive of finishing the drama, because of all the hype surrounding it. IDK hype scares me a little and I can’t even explain why LOL
Give it some time and wait for the hype to die down so you can judge it on its own merits. If you loved the first 4 episodes I’m sure you’ll love the rest as well!
If it helps, I believe it was only really internationally that the show blew up. It had pretty average ratings for a cable show. 😛
With a lot of shows, it is easy to write the exact show you want it to be in your head with enough hype. I think if you expect the show to have its own storyline, and are willing to follow it where it takes you, you can still enjoy a show that has been super-hyped. If you liked the first 4 episodes of BTLIOF, then I think you would enjoy the rest as well. But if you are still worried, maybe give it another month? To let the hype die down?
