Would this qualify as meta? The actor is a K-Pop star who is singing a song from a K-Pop group that is signed to the same label that he is. He is purposely singing badly–really badly–to hide the fact that he, the actor, can actually sing well and would slay the song if he tried. But I wouldn’t have figured him to even try before but he is doing it now for this role.

Or would this be meta in that some people think that K-Pop idols can’t sing and they’re making fun of that in having Jinyoung as Lee Ahn sing the song.

Or is this meta in that we are aware that the crew is aware that Jinyoung can sing really well and the scene is all the funnier for it?
