I think Bang Won has a Joseon version of bullet proof vest on, you know smtg that Dal Geon never heard of. 😜
Don’t think Hwi intended to kill him. Otherwise he would have aimed for the head.
I’m trying to understand why Hwi would choose either of the men he’s playing against each other. Neither one wants the kind of county that would benefit him or his band of merry men.
About BW’s men… that made me think that BW expected Hwi and he purposely put a few men there and let him went all the way in. But… we have to wait 1 week to know for sure. Sigh….
It always bugs me when the hero has ultimate fighting powers. I’m not sure if that applies to the ending scene though since Bang Won seemed to be expecting him and Hwi was purposely aiming for limbs. If it wasn’t staged then Bang Won definitely needs better men.

My Country, Ep 8: so, is the closing scene for real, or is it going to turn into “just thinking about it”?

He sorta had to. His purpose now is to get Yeon free, so he either killed BW or took down Lord Nam.

He has a grudge against Lord Nam, so that’s the only piece of the puzzle that makes sense to me.

It’s beginning to remind me the tiniest bit of Vagabond. Bang Won’s men crumbled pretty fast against Hwi.
I’d like to have half the healing power of Hwi and Seon Ho. All they need is a little rest and a cup of water to require from near death experiences.

Don’t know about Sun Ho, but Hwi had that pain numbing pill from doc. 😉

His personal guard was injured too, so I’m not so sure.

That personal guard did not put up much of a fight. Got down too easily.
