Lee Min-young started her acting career when she was only four years old. Some of her early works are the MBC programs Popopo in 1981 and Tiger Teacher in 1982. In 1996, she acted alongside Lee Young-ae in the MBC family drama Sibling Relations. She then joined the main casts of 1997’s Myth of a Hero, 1998’s Barefoot Run, and 1999’s Young Sun, which all aired on MBC. In 2006, she played a supporting character in the SBS series Love and Ambition. In 2011, she made an acting comeback in JTBC’s Fermentation Family. In 2014, she led the SBS daily drama You’re Only Mine, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2016, she starred in another SBS daily series called The Love Is Coming. In 2021, she became part of TV Chosun’s hit melodrama Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) and also appeared in its second and third seasons.


Lee Min-young married actor Lee Chan in 2006, but fell victim to domestic violence, which resulted in their divorce.
