Yeh Soo-jung began her acting career on stage, performing in numerous plays such as The Broken Jug in 1973 and A Woman Named Solitude in 1979. She then made her big screen debut in 2001 through the film Nabi. She has since appeared in various films such as Save the Green Planet in 2003, Hwang Jini in 2007, and Like You Know It All in 2009. In 2016, she acted alongside Gong Yoo in the hit zombie movie Train to Busan. In 2017, she became part of the blockbuster fantasy film Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds. That same year, she portrayed Park Hae-soo’s mother in tvN’s Smart Prison Living. In 2018, she joined the cast of the tvN romantic comedy series Top Star Yoo Baek as Jeon So-min’s grandmother. In 2019, she led the independent film An Old Lady.


Yeh Soo-jung studied German literature at the Korea University. She then obtained a master’s degree in dramatics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She is the sister-in-law of actor Han Jin-hee.
