Yoon Jong-hoon began his acting career in 2009 with small roles in the sageuk dramas Iron Empress and Return of Iljimae. In 2013, he acted a supporting role in the tvN series Answer Me 1994. In 2015, he became part of the MBC daily series A Daughter Just Like You, in which he was nominated for Best New Actor at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2018, he landed a main role in the SBS drama Return, which won him the Best Character trophy at the SBS Drama Awards. That same year, he starred in MBC’s My Healing Love, in which he scored a nomination for an Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2020, he bagged another Excellence Award nomination at the MBC Drama Awards for his appearance in Find Me in Your Memory. Also in 2020, he joined the cast of the megahit SBS series Penthouse, in which he picked up an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards.
During a guest appearance on SBS’s My Little Old Boy, Yoon Jong-hoon revealed that he likes doing housework and that he is alright with becoming a househusband.
