The things happening in The One and Only are all outrageous and crazy. Murder, manipulation, death, you name it, they have it. The characters don’t have much to live. It’s heartbreaking but what I love the most is that the characters long for simple things. In the middle of all this chaos, they just want to eat kimbap, spend time with family, live another day. Plus the direction is so good. The shots are creative and beautiful. I love it so much!! ;A;

    I have been told you are also loving this so I have come to find you for solidarity because I have been struggling to find people to talk about it. It’s so weird and has really unusual pacing decisions but I love it. It has an existential reformed assassin in it. How could I NOT love it!

      Omg yay! I’m also looking for people who are watching it!

      HAHAHAHAHA I agree with the pacing. There are also some weird transitions but overall really good! I feel for the characters and I’m really cheering them on. Trying to get myself ready for I know we would have to say goodbye at one point. ;A;

        I feel like we’re so few 🙁 🙁
        Tbh the pacing feels intentional- but it is very unconventional at the same time- like by episode 6 they both know everything there is to know about each other? Childhood connection, the note written on the money, that he’s a contract killer, that she tried to kill someone, that she’s deaf, that she’s dying! like! Dramas usually drag shit like that out till the last possible moment but noooo not this one! hahaha I find it weirdly refreshing but hopefully this has enough left to last 16 episodes… and doesn’t jump shark…

        The premise of the terminal illness was why I initially didn’t want to start it, but I did for KKN anyway… I too am trying to brace myself for the ending.

          And grandma found out about her illness, and we know who the big baddie is already. It’s definitely an uncommon way of storytelling for a korean drama.

          Honestly, I’m ready for Show to break my heart in the end because KKN and AEJ play their pain in such a beautiful way. Like in the last episode when In Sook said “kwaenchana” oofff! My heart!

            It feels too soon right, and yet we’re actually half way through so maybe it’s not too soon hahaha.

            KKN’s sad puppy eyes get me every time 🥺

            They’ll probably delve more into the other residents lives. There’s definitely more to Mido and Seyeon. I’d love to see an episode dedicated to them.
