Not gonna lie, I am somewhat enjoying what looks like Hyun Jae conflicted over helping Ji Hoon with Woo Seung and his possible feelings for her. Still on the JH-WS ship though!

I want to binge PSJ shows but worry his characters aren’t at par with Dong Man HAHA

    You’re going to watch it for Park Seo Jun, continue loving him throughout it, but when you come out of it, you’re going to have a new-found love for Park Hyung Sik, if you don’t already love him <3

      Definitely agreed with @bebeswtz. I watched Hwarang because I love both Park SJ and Park HS, but my love for PHS grew bigger in Hwarang.

    Hwarang wasn’t a good drama, and Park Seo-joon was saddled with a frustratingly dull character there. Park Hyung-shik’s Sammaekjong was the more interesting character, even if his character (like everyone else’s) stalled in the latter half of the show.

    Watch She Was Pretty or Kill Me Heal Me instead for your PSJ fix.

      Gotta admit, She Was Pretty was pretty good. I saw glimpses of it when my mom was watching and I didn’t even mind Hwang Jung-eum! She was surprisingly not too bad there. She didn’t scream too much is what I’m saying. I remember Park Seo-joon being great there, too, even when his character wasn’t so great.

    My very first drama with Park Seo Joon was in I Summon You Gold (2013) where he was paired with Baek Jin Hee. I loved him way before everyone started swooning over him lol. Sadly I am not loving him as much as I was these days. Anyway, my rec for his drama are like Witch’s Romance, Kill Me Heal Me and She Was Pretty. For me he was gorgeous in Hwarang but he didn’t seem to be fit in sageuk (on top of that like everyone else said, the drama itself was a mess).

      I find that Park Seo-joon is better playing livelier/more spirited characters. He’s good at emoting, but I he has those naturally sleepy eyes like So Ji-sub. He’s more engaging with energetic characters like Dong-man or Ri-on than broody, quiet types like Sun-woo.

      Agreed that he doesn’t suit sageuk.

        He suits romcom the best imo. I think he is good actor, but not an actor with a wide range. So he needs to do roles within his capability to shine. Even in SWP he was outshone by Choi Siwon, although it is more on characters themselves where Siwon’s character was easily to be loved by audiences.

    I’m thinking of watching it one of these days for Park Seo-joon because Fight My Way has ignited my love for him more than ever before. I mean, I always thought he was good, but he’s definitely got my attention from here on out. One to watch, that man. You’ve got a point about his characters might not being as good as Dong-man, though!

As much as I enjoy Hyun Jae’s haircut and transformation, I miss the 90’s get up hahaha. So glad the epilogue was the J2 MV.

    Agreed! The 90’s look is refreshing and different from all the handful of other styles that seem popular among male actors these days (especially those middle part curtain bangs or whatever they’re called). But he does look so cute still hehehe

      Somehow I think it really is just Yoon Shi Yoon who can look good looking like that, haha. The middle part is so weird to me too, e.g. Kim Min Jae is good looking despite that distracting middle part hahaha

          Kim Min-jae still looks cute with those bangs. It seems to be a thing now since I’ve been noticing it quite a bit with actors and idols. But, the biggest offender, in my opinion, is Nam Joo-hyuk’s curtain bangs + almost mullet in the recent promos for Bride of the Water God. Someone trim the back please!

      They’re enjoyable together but it’s the idea that HJ might be JH’s father that keeps me away from shipping them. Quite messy haha. (And I want Ji Hoon’s feelings finally reciprocated huhu haha although dramas don’t always let the one with feelings for longer win do they haha huhu)

      me too… I louvveee HJ-WS.. they have the zing which Ji-hoon just doesnt have with WS.. but the father issues.. ugh.. also there is the fact that falling for WS may actually be redemptive or make HJ realise stuff.

      Minister Park must have done something to him? Try to clone him? Maybe powering the supercomputer took an extreme toll on him? Or (I hope) it could have just been the shock of finally seeing him on their faces?

        Isn’t just so tragic that what Byul made for the good of woo Jin and out of love, ultimately ( at least I think and suspect)turned into this hug curse in his life.

          Yeah.. Went i realized this whole mess, this whole idea about convert memories into videos, firstly because Byul want to help WJ to remembered his mom… I know it is not love story.. But it can be a great tragic love story for me..

    Yes please… and if it isn’t too much to ask, maybe not age him as well. It would just be weird that they took different actors to play the older versions and not do the same for Woojin. Anyway, I just think that it would be hard to picture any other actor as Woojin at this point in the story and have me root for that actor the way I did for YJG. I feel like I wouldn’t have time to settle into that actor since I got accustomed to watching Yeo Jingoo to the end.. unlike Kim Kangwoo who we got to know as Bumgyun earlier in the story so we had time to take that character in.

      In terms of keeping Yeo Jin Goo in Brave New World, maybe the talk of clones will work to our advantage? Can’t say for sure Woo Jin was cloned, but I don’t put it past Minister Park to try that to keep the supercomputer running. Or maybe they found a way to keep him young, who knows. Just random thoughts haha. I agree, it will be hard to root for a different Woo Jin, especially now that the show is about to end. And YJG is doing such a good job with his role too, I can’t help but prefer it to still be him. We’ll see soon enough.

        Yup. Somebody opened up the cloning thing on Ep 8 recap and I said it’s a good theory but that it is quite far-fetched since the writers haven’t mentioned anything about cloning in the show. Then the writers be like, “are you sure?” Then they actually brought up clones on Ep 9. 😂

          The writing thus far has been quite tight, so I totally agree with you. If the solution is clones, then the writers probably dropped little hints the whole way through, that we’ll only realize in retrospect.
