I watched it yesterday without subs and again today with subs. I have not been this emotionally affected by a sageuk since my latest CHUNO rewatch earlier in the year, and that’s saying something…

I’m not big on romance in sageuks except for a few like “Chuno”, “Princess’ Man” and “Yisan.”
“Bossam” combines them all so I’m hopelessly addicted.

I’m going to watch and re-watch to my heart’s content.

I would classify Chino more like a character journey rather than a romance, even though there were plenty of romantic moments there. Bossam reminds me the most of The Princess’s Man, but it has its own unique vibe too. The drama is on its way of becoming an all-time favorite, worthy of multiple rewatches. Most of my favorite sageuks have tragic endings, so I hope this one will end on a well-deserved happy note.

I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t end on a happy note like Princess’ Man.
We know from history that Ba-woo’s aunt Queen Inmok will be re-instated and that the Westerners will return to power.

Gwanghae will probably be spared for Soo-kyung’s sake so that’s good enough for me.

It’s so good! I actually watched 1/2 of 10 at 20% subbed which is good enough for me! I like watching this unsubbed because I see more of the actors’ expressions as well. And JIW and Yuri are killing it in that department.

Agree! Both are excellent in this drama. I have not seen Yuri in anything, so I am very impressed. I recently watched JIW in HAECHI and liked him a lot in that drama. I like his voice. Does he sing?

I don’t think he does professionally, but yeah, I’m partial to his voice too, and eyes, and hands, and lips, and…well, all of it. 😂

These 2 are doing crazy things to my heart and brain 😆. I’m secretly shipping them irl. Oops, I guess it’s not a secret anymore 😝.

He’s 2 years older than she in real life, so yeah, it could happen.

Here is “Flower Of Revenge,” my original composition inspired by the last scene of Episode 20 of “Money Flower.”

This is beautiful! I can totally imagine all the characters listening to this. Jang Huyk, especially.

This sad Chuno-inspired piece depicts the anguish of the wife of Commander Hwang. She is trying to write a letter to her husband, but because of her physical disability all of her efforts are futile.

Your piece is beautiful, thank you for sharing with us! I don’t know why I feel like this sounds very eastern -something like a Studio Ghibli work combined with some Chinese piece.

Brought back memories and not just CHUNO but a whole year of memorable K-dramas.

This was absolutely lovely. Very evocative of some great C-drama OSTs for me. I’m now excited to see what you do next.

Thank you for posting this.🎶 Did you have a specific scene in mind, or is this a theme for whichever elements/characters?

      MAJOR CHUNO SPOILER!!!

The piece was inspired by one of the last scenes of the drama, in which the mortally wounded hero (played by Jang Hyuk) asks the heroine (played by Kim Ha Eun) to sing him a song. He apologizes to her for not acknowledging her feelings for him and calls her by name for the first and last time. She wipes her tears and starts singing, and then he dies in her arms before the song is finished. I wanted the music to have the simplicity and timelessness of folk song and the character of both lament and lullaby.
