Su Ae, singin’ in the rain

Su Ae displays her sexier side in a newly released still from her upcoming period film, director Lee Joon-ik’s You’re Far Away.

In the 1971-set film, Su Ae’s character transforms from an ordinary woman living in the countryside to a sexy wartime singer in order to find her husband, who’s fighting in the Vietnam War. You’re Far Away is planned for a July release.

    I’m looking forward to seeing her in a new project. Shes a wonderful actress who seems to be branching out into different roles recently. I remember first noticing her in Love Letter as a newbie. Shes come a long way.

    Sorry if I wasn’t clear — she’s looking for her husband who’s fighting in the war, and joins as one of those entertainers who travel to perform for troops, and thus finds herself in the midst of the war. This project is getting some attention as the director is quite famous (King and the Clown, Radio Star).

    i love Soo Ae, she’s so sweet and a good actress too. i’ve also enjoyed all the movies directed by Lee Jun Ik. so, looking forward to this one then.

    I’ve only seen her in Love Letter. I love looking at her face. I wish her luck on this new role. King and the Clown was a great movie. She’s in very good hands.

    Su Ae looks scandalously fab (and not just a little like a grown-up Younha) in that little red dress! In her teens, she was a SM prospect looking to become a singer. So I guess she’s making that dream come true. Good for her. Classy and her face is actually hers! :D

    Yeah, this is the project she’s doing with Uhm Tae Woong. In a way, she’s the female Uhm Tae Woong. She seems most at home with emotionally difficult/trying material, and she rarely overacts.
