he was the first korean actor i had seen. i watched him in Lovers in Paris back in 04. that was my first intro. to korean dramas. he will always be one of my favorites. i will surely miss him.

Thank goodness for those who have already served - Kang Ji Hwan (!!!!), Won Bin, Ji Sung (so looking forward to 'Swallow the Sun' or as the pics seem to show 'Ji-Sung is Rambo'! LOL) and my latest fav So Ji Sub! Phew plenty of hotness left. Not to mention the upcomers like Kim Bum. Yum yum~

about the age limit to do your military service, I have heard of actors citing reasons to put off their service, normally with bad PR results so maybe the age of 28 is the limit, unless you have 'acceptable' reasons to delay it.
And of course some men can do their time in white collar civil work and not 'grunt' army time. Though I am not sure of the whys and wherefores, long as it is deemed service to the country it is counted.

Its sad that he is going into the military service, but i know its a service he must forfill, he will be missed on dramas and movies, I have enjoyed watching him in; stained glass, when at night, lovers in paris, changing partners, and lovers like them.
