SBS is showing the Olympics, and therefore the episodes of Wish Upon a Star slated for this Monday and Tuesday will be pushed back to next week to make room for a special broadcast of Vancouver 2010 Prime Time.
Of course I understand since the Olympics is big stuff — and ratings are high in Korea, with the first Korean gold medal being won in short track speed skating and Kim Yuna’s high profile — but how bummed am I? (WHAT IS PAL-GANG GOING TO SAY TO KANG-HA’S SURPRISE CONTRACT PROPOSAL? TELL MEEEEEE.)
For now, Episodes 13 and 14 are rescheduled for next Monday and Tuesday. They’d better not pre-empt next week, too, although next Tuesday is the night of the figure skating ladies’ short programs…

I can’t believe this!!! This is like the only drama I faithfully watch when it comes on every week! Why???? Say it isn’t so.
But on the sort of bright side, I’m glad I know now so I can begin to prepare for its absences instead of waiting for it and then being told well after it should’ve been shown as to why we’ve all be deprived of this wonderful drama.
Gawd, this sucks. I am sad now.

Oh man… bummer! I too was looking forward to it, especially since b/c of CNY, some of the other dramas I was watching were postponed too. I can understand why it would be postponed — if SBS paid for the rights, it makes a heck of a lot of sense to air it. I haven’t been following it myself, but I also heard that other networks etc aren’t airing the good stuff to compete with the Olympics in the States either. Olympics still has some pull in many countries alike. Sigh… will have wait until 7.5 days.

i’m bummed too – although right now i can’t pay much attention to it because i love the olympics too. i also kinda read a spoiler on soompi about what she’ll say so i kind of know what the first five minutes of episode 13 would be. however, i agree – it sucks.
and i won’t be surprised if they bump the next tuesday episode in favor of Kim Yuna – although, will it be a problem? what if they show it live – then is it possible there won’t be a time conflict due to time difference!? let’s hope that happens!!!

i would suspect that with the time difference, most people would watch Kim Yuna performing live, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they have a prime-time special as well pumping up the event, like the one airing tomorrow.
on the other hand, a two-week delay might kill momentum for the drama, which has been steadily increasing its ratings, so maybe SBS will have a care…?

You know what, the audiance should have the choice to watch Olympic or the drama (you know what my choice would be). Most of the Winter Olympic have competition I have never heard of ie, curling (what is this).
