Daniel Henney and Lee Na-young share a kiss

A goodnight kiss, to be exact. Daniel Henney plays the gentle protector to Lee Na-young in the upcoming action drama Runaway, which is a character type I’ve nicknamed “The Bae Soo-bin” in my mind. Then again, it’s a familiar role for Henney as well, so maybe I should just call it The Henney.
In the drama, his character is a wealthy shipping magnate named Kai who loves Jin-yi (Lee). She in turn deliberately approaches Ji-woo (Rain) for her own goals, which remain a mystery to us.
In this scene, Kai gives Jin-yi a “loving kiss” on the forehead, although reportedly the two actors stood back and traded embarrassed laughs as as soon as the “cut” notice was given by the director.
This is Lee Na-young’s first drama in six years, ever since Ireland in 2004. Daniel Henney’s last kdrama was 2006’s Spring Waltz. Both have done movies in the interim, such as Sad Dream and Dad Likes Women in her case, and My Father and X-Men Origins: Wolverine in his.
Runaway is a romantic-comedy action series created by the PD and writer of Chuno, and will air on KBS in September.

Rain is the main lead. But yeah, I want to see him as the lead. The one who'll get the girl in the end.
Call me shallow I don't care. Love him since the first time I laid my eyes on his goergeous self. Don't mind his acting at all. As long as the story is great it would be fine with me.

by the way - i think the "Bae Soo Bin" is super appropriate. if Daniel Henney could carry an entire drama on Korean he would totally be the lead. but BSB can carry an entire drama in Korean and is STILL cast as a second lead. i guess they weren't too happy with his performance in Angel's Temptation...!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

There should be a drama where Bae So Bin will get the girl... come on Kdrama overlords.... Give that beautiful man a chance... Last time he was successful in a love angle was when you let him have the man (Jumong..) but even that you tore apart....

Maybe he's not the best actor in the world but I like Daniel Henney. Especially the fact he is bridging the gap of having some success in both Korea and the US. I hope that success keeps going and that it becomes true for some other Korean actors as well. Kim Yun Jin kicked butt in Lost! I wish there was more crossover success. i.e. actors like So Ji Sub, Gong Yoo, Kim Sun ah. Maybe it's a language barrier or simply a matter of, who gives a crap about American success?
And I agree! Bae So Bin needs to get the girl next time!

Lee Na Young- I loved her in "Please Teach Me English" (2003). I need to go watch that again...^_^. Excited for this drama... hopefully the content will live up to my likings for the people filling the roles!
Rain and So Ji Sub were my first loves in the Kdrama world. I know they really don't compare to each other in the same way, but...^_^ some times you can't always choose who you fall in love with, they choose you (hee hee)^_^.
***the American success for Rain does not do much for me... so glad he's back in the drama world.
And Daniel Henney, I think he's made great improvement in his acting since his debut in Spring Waltz (wasn't that the one)- nope it was Kim Sam-Soon. Anyway, he could look me in the eye and speak Korean or English any day... with his grin of course accompanying him!
