Moon Jung-hee joins Mary Stayed Out All Night

Buzztastic trendy drama Mary Stayed Out All Night is starting to fill its ranks, as Moon Jung-hee (Oh My Lady, My Sweet Seoul, Air City) joins the cast. She will be playing a femme fatale, upsetting the balance in the Moon Geun-young / Jang Geun-seok couple.
The drama is penned by In Eun-ah, of Goong and Love Marriage, and directed by PD Hong Suk-goo, lauded for his drama specials, Kyung-sook, Kyung-sook’s Father, and Red Candy, starring Park Shi-yeon. So far, so good.
I’m liking the stars, the creative staff, and kind of can’t wait to see Moon Geun-young and Kim Jae-wook in a comedy. We all know Jang Geun-seok is hilarious. But the other two, I’m betting, will be awkward in the best way possible. I know JB hates it when I bring up Cinderella’s Sister, but we saw a few glimpses of Moon’s comedic chops there, albeit in a darkly funny way. (Back when the show had a sense of humor). It’s going to be great to see her play light and breezy.
Besides which, how can one plot have TWO fake contract marriages? It’s almost too good to be true! I can’t wait to find out the writing gymnastics that’ll go on to make that come to fruition. (Since we’re on the subject, Show, I don’t care if it’s farce, but I want it to make sense!)
Moon Jung-hee has an impressive resume full of plays, musicals, dramas, and films, and can be seen most recently in the action film The Fixer.
Mary Stayed Out All Night premiers on KBS on Monday, November 8.

ah i love Moon Jung Hee! :) i'm really anticipating this drama! <3 it's gonna be amazing!
and Moon Geun Young can definitely be comedic! :) the movie "Young Bride" was sooooooooo good! i loved her in that movie<3

I really am looking forward to it. haha I still cant help wanting Kim Jae Wook to be the lead guy. After loving his character on bad guy..I just want him to get the girl in the end! teehee!

I watched her in My Little Bride and she definitely has the comedic timing there. I really enjoyed that movie well.. one of my favorite movies of all time (that includes movies in ALL languages that I have watched).
BUT..
FIRST, that was YEARS ago and she was young teenager at the time..
SECOND, she has GREAT chemistry with Kim Rae Won - no denying it
LAST, after My Little Bride, she did not have ANY project that is in the romantic comedy genre.
All that being said, there is no doubt that MGY has moved on to greater achievements and has proven herself to be a talented actress (a Daesang Award now c'mon). I am really looking forward in seeing her again in the rom-com genre.

1 month and 7 days to go and Mary stayed out all night will hit the small screen.. I am happy with the rest of the cast but it's the JGS-MGY tandem that keeps me on a high for this show :)

I don't know how I feel about the drama now. I feel like we still don't have much information about the plot, so I don't feel interested in the story. However, the drama does have MGY, JGS, and KJW!! And I do like the idea of two fake contract relationships - it takes the traditional fake contract relationships up a notch. One contract relationship is already hard enough to keep up!

I cannot wait for this one. It may even have dethroned Athena for my most anticipated upcoming drama, which is saying something because I've been waiting for Athena for aaages and I'm a big fan of most of its cast (JWS! CSW! EVERYBODY! *flails*).
Anyway, contract marriages/fake relationships is one of my favorite kdrama tropes ever, maybe THE most favorite cliché and alskdjaldjasldjasd I can't wait for MsoaN

I'm really excited for this. I've been reading the manga the past few days and I'm hooked. I really can imagine the cast doing the funny scenes and such!!! this will be a sure hit!
