Coffee Prince’s cool, confident Gong Yoo as a huge dork? I LOVE IT.
Here are the new poster (cute) and a preview for the upcoming romantic comedy Finding Kim Jong-wook, which stars Gong Yoo and Im Soo-jung.
The film is based on a popular musical in which heroine Im Soo-jung can’t forget her first love, to the extent that her hang-up is preventing her from moving on and dating successfully. She enlists the help of Gong Yoo, who operates a business specifically tailored to tracking down first/bygone loves, and off to India they go in search of Kim Jong-wook. They fall in love in the process.
A few things I love about the preview: She seems hilariously kooky, and he is a big ol’ adorable dork. Who could resist that bashful smile?
With the movie’s release approaching, the production recently held its press conference, and the actors have been busy making the promo rounds, doing interviews with entertainment programs and the like. It’s no surprise that reporters have been taking the opportunity to ask the two stars the much-wondered question of whether or not they’re dating. (They’d been caught up in dating rumors a couple years ago, before he left for his military service. Both had insisted they were just friends.)
Im’s response only fueled more curiosity, saying, “We actually got closer because of the dating rumors. We still go out with friends to coffee shops or out to drink.” Asked about the prospect of their friendship developing, Im replied, “I’ll leave that to time.”
Finding Kim Jong-wook opens on December 9.

I WANT TO WATCH THIS!!!! This sounds crazy fan-stupid…but I could definitely see these two dating. I mean…most fans wouldn’t want their huge, celebrity crush loving someone else, but I totally dig these two.
Yeah! In Korea, dating is a scandal! In HK, that man hid his wife of 20 years in US, another man did the same in Malaysia. Amazing stuff, sure there will be one crazy fan who’d jump off the bridge but come on, most fans (who are not so crazy) would wish them happiness!

who was that? I know andy lau, leon lai and charlene choi and a couple of chinese actors who hid their marriage. one fan went crazy because of andy lau. Another one killed herself because of Jackie Chan. Really dangerous fans.

Saw the press conference and they do seem very close and whether they are dating or not they seem like friends, buddies and that’s wonderful. I’m sure its great to work with people you like and are comfortable with.
