First stills of Seo Ye-ji, Kim Soo-hyun for It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

In upcoming quirky rom-com drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Seo Ye-ji (Lawless Attorney) plays a bestselling children’s book author who doesn’t know love, and Kim Soo-hyun (Real) plays a psych ward caretaker who is too emotionally wearied for love. Stills of their characters were just released. Will these two be able to heal each other’s scars and fall in love?

Kim Soo-hyun plays a man without dreams or hope. At home, he takes care of his brother who has Autism Spectrum Disorder, played by Oh Jung-se (Stove League). And at work, he takes care of other patients with severe psychological and emotional issues. As a result, he’s neglected his own mental well-being and automatically rejects love as a burden.

On the other hand, it looks like Seo Ye-ji has had a cold heart since birth. Despite her elegant beauty, intellect, and occupation as a children’s book author, she’s never warmed up to anyone and it looks like that may be why she hasn’t been able to fall in love yet.

tvN Saturday-Sunday drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay will begin airing on June 20.

Wow, they both look good here! I like Seo Ye Ji being elegant because I think it really suits her. I'm excited to see how these good actors play their characters. I just hope this drama would represent mental conditions well =D

Loving the Audrey Hepburn look. ❤️

Kim Soo-hyun's character is interesting. Usually TV shows on autism focus on the person with autism, naturally. However, taking care of a person with autism has a huge impact on the rest of the family, their daily lives and mental well-being. I don't think I've seen it explored anywhere, so let's see what this drama does with it.

Shining Inheritance poured a little attention on what it's like to care for someone on the spectrum - I can't say it did so realistically, seeing as it's a makjang and the said boy is missing for most of the drama.

Well, I mean, Shining Inheritance is one of my favourites 😂

I just don't think it's aged well in some respects.

Well Shining Inheritance is one of my favourite drama too although I m not a big fan of dramas from that era. The pacing always used to be good even with so many episodes. Especially the main lead chemistry was superb and developed organically.

I'm already set to tuning in to this drama, because Kim Soo-hyun💖, but the title change really makes the drama all the more appealing! It also reminds me of Kyung-soo's song which is on my "On Repeat" playlist. Have a listen if you haven't:

BTW, isn't this drama a fantasy drama? I think I saw that description before...If that's true, what is the fantasy element?

Her character is born in a wealthy family. There is also a fantasy theme in the story, so perhaps the clothes shown here are from her fairy tale stories.

Her character is a born rich. I also read that in the drama she's a hella famous author with fans of all ages and her publisher agency kind of wants to make her a celebrity lol.
Btw I don't think she being a children book author has anything to do with her style, like she can dress whatever she wants, either nerdy looks as dramas often like to portrait writer characters or fabulous as she is here.

Both are gorgeous!! I'm so ready to be mesmerized by their low deep voices.
The more the show reveals itself the more I'm getting excited. The only thing I'm worrying about is how they're gonna touch on mental health stuffs. Please no problematic bs *fingercrossed*.
Love the new title though I always thought the original title was somewhat a homage to Park Chan Wook's I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay - which is also interesting.
