      Indeed. It’s refreshing to see a straightforward no-nonsense character. And maybe that’s what draws Kang-tae into her–because she sees through him and tells him openly about his pretense. It’s both funny and deep at the same time.

I did not know Possessed was such a gem. Kept me on edge episode after episode. Gosh. Yeon Junghoon’s perf makes it more riveting. Forgive me for falling in love with his charisma

      Ikr. He’s also such an adorable caring father, loving husband and dependable hyung to the 2D1N members.. such a great actor for him to give me the creeps in this one. Uggghh his Hwang Daedoo smile.

    I’m glad you liked Possessed too. As much as I liked it, the show also broke my heart. It’s a hard show to recommend. Not a breezy watch but it definitely delivers a wild rollercoaster of emotions!

      Yes esp. its last episodes. Thankfully the show got me engaged to make me finish it. It’s not a perfect show but it managed to be captivating in its early world building. And this is a case where the villain made me care a lot. Oh the feels. I can’t explain how Yeon Junghoon did it.. but as soon as he left the show HDD’s charisma dropped. Nonetheless, Possessed did well in balancing the thrilling and funny parts with lots of heart.

Been enjoying 2 Days and 1 Night again lately (after S3 ended coz of JJY) and I’m really loving Yeon Junghoon.. now I’m getting chills watching him in Possessed. Geez. Better late than never.

    It’s called a fantasy romcom but the teasers are dark. And she’s a childrens storybook author but her books are scary and dark ala the source material for the Disney fairytale movies. Hmmm

      Anyways, exactly my point. I am intrigued with SYJ’s character in which she purposely acts as a witch to little children while supposedly reading a story book. Lol. I hope they handle the psychological aspect of the show well.

        The concept reminds me so much of It’s Ok, That’s Love.. Hopefully we’d get to see more differences than the gender swap when the actual show starts. 😅

    I think she’s supposed to have a personality disorder, which would explain anti-social/rude/uncaring tendencies.

    I am intrigued by the dark fairy tale concept of this drama.

      Yes but Antisocial Personality Disorder won’t explain the attempted strangulation or the dark figure behind her caressing her hair or something. Maybe if she has the schizotypal personality disorder…
      It remains to be seen whether those are hallucinations or just fragments of her memories of past traumatic experience.

        I kind of assumed she had a borderline personality disorder from the previews, because that is more about emotional instability and can include delusions and feelings of emotional emptiness, which could explain her love of dark fairy tales. Schizotypal seemed too extreme for what we’ve seen so far (which, admittedly isn’t much).

        I assumed those scenes we saw were more an imagining of her dark fairy tales with herself inserted into the story/possibly a heightened imaging of whatever triggered her disorder. Many old fairy tales are dark and include creepy deaths etc. and I thought they were drawing from that old tradition or possibly even a Gothic reading of those tales. Granted, we know nothing yet, so I look forward to whatever the story comes up with, so long as they treat the mental health aspect with respect.

    It been interesting if her stories somehow play into the events. For instance, we could have some fantasy sequences blending with reality. Also, I’m wondering if her stories are informed by her own past.
