    I’m not worried. I’m not worried…

I thought it was a good news? She is a well known actress and his other projects seemed like teen dramas?

      0
      1

It’s exactly because it is good news that I am both happy and worried. This is going to be such a huge thing for him because she’s famous, veteran and popular.

And there’s a 10 year age gap! This is not Yibo’s first noona romance though I’m not sure if the story will have them at around the same age(she does look younger than her 32 years).

        1
        3

You made me worried for a bit 😉 Yes she looks really young and he can pull mature look so I’m not that worried but I expect Weibo meltdown in any moment (and hope someone will translate it :D).
Another young actor got some flack for liking smearing post about Yibo few days ago, and fanwars between WY and XZ fans broke up for good, so yeah I’m curious how this news will be received.

          1
          3

Yes, I also thought about how badly received this news would be on C net. It’s probably worse than WYB’s casting news as Lan Wangji from fans of the novel.

I read about the ridiculous fanwar between the two fandoms, it’s so dumb. A celebrity must truly learn how to survive in this crazy biz.

What was that about a smearing post about Yibo?

            1
            0

@outofthisworld, Chen Feiyou have to apologise for “accidently” liking WY hate post, I have no idea what the post was about but I read it’s typical for c-antis to create such a smear posts, they trying something similar with XZ trying to dig some info about his past girlfriends.

@shach I checked it out but the english articles are not making sense. I won’t bother to look for the Chinese ones. It’s probably stupidity to the max. Sigh

a 32 year old gets to kiss the most desirable hot 22 year old 🙂

          1. i am jealous
          2. Nobody is raising age issue now when vice versa cases are bashed left, right, centre
          3. He is actually going to kiss.. NO!!!
          4. Happy for him – yes! – and m fairly confident that this drama will click, because hell legend of fu yao became a hit so anything can – yibo is going to become a super big thing..(happy but worried we may lose him to the upper society and its tantrums)
          5. secretly hoping for bad BTS on both show (but it is really tough to not have fun with yangzi) so that untamed bts can find another hidden layer of meaning 😛

          2
          7

            and not to forget,
yibo got his advertisement with dilraba .. posing as a couple..

I am pretty sure dilraba is the IT girl for almost all young boys in china

            1
            0

            1. I am surprised you are.
            2. Is this the norm in C drama?
            3. How do you know? He’s quite good actually.
            4. I hope so!
            5. I’m sure the BTS from this show can’t beat The Untamed. I think XZ and YZ will come close but not this one. YB is notoriously ‘cold’ around female artists. I am hoping that since it is almost impossible for rumours to start about him and Zhao Liying, he can be more relaxed.
I have not made up my mind whether he just isn’t interested in making small talk with girls or it’s his strategy for keeping rumour mills at bay. Probably both 😛

            1
            0

            @outofthisworld

            that notoriously cold is exaggerated..

he joined kpop at age of 14, YG -> that doesn’t allow even homegrown female trainees to meet male trainees.. plus kpop clearly leaves no scope to “socialize”.. and while untamed was filming he wasn’t even 21.. during filming he turned 21..

it is just opportunity didn’t come along.. he can handle women very well and very confidently..
XZ is someone yibo is in awe of.. for valid reasons.. the guy is talented in all those areas where yibo isn’t 😛

XZ is someone yibo is in awe of.. for valid reasons.. the guy is talented in all those areas where yibo isn’t

            ROFLMAO!

About yibo and girls, he said he has dated and been in relationships.

            1
            0

            @outofthisworld

            WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
where did you find that out..

ANyway, i am sure he has.. and he is quite outgoing so he meets a lot more people, plus has good international exposure so he meets variety of people..

My opinion of yibo is that he is very confident of himself and a perfectionist (i don’t peg him for someone who would ever let anything become his excuse to not be good at anything).. and he is very very aware of the world . The fact he has international exposure, meets people through his different pursuits, he has a good understanding of people..

Hence, I would expect him to be the no nonsense guy
and my guess would be that the type of girl he would like will be someone who has proven herself (someone who comes with high brand of either pedigree, education or whatever.. essentially really really good at whatever she does -> top university or famous in her chosen area or smart businesswoman)

            2
            0

            @outofthisworld

and lastly, i think he is also very well aware, that if he wants to woo a girl, he’d easily be able to

            1
            0

            @alasecond

I can’t remember where I read it but I came across it at least 3 times. He also revealed the shortest was 6 months. I’d take that as he had at least been in two relationships?

When I watched his interviews, I never get the feeling that he’s lying. He would often just flatly refused to comment if he doesn’t want to.

My opinion of Yibo is – He’s very confident in the things he likes and does well but is also quite acutely aware of his shortcomings. So what you say about being a perfectionist could be right.

Totally agree on the no nonsense part. There were clips of girls on Day Day Up show testifying about his ‘coldness’. Can’t blame him, I would have found them annoying too! These as you said could just be exaggerated for entertainment purpose. But on Produce 101, he was so serious although he’s barely older than the girls. I’m used to seeing mentors and judges being harsh because it’s all to make the show more dramatic but Yibo seemed genuinely set on doing the tasks right.

            1
            0

I’m not sure I’d consider her ‘veteran’ status just yet. She’s only been acting for 12-13 years, and only has 5 years experience ahead of him in the entertainment industry 🤔🤔🤔

          0
          3

Unless we are talking about child actress, she’s been acting since she’s barely out of college? I must say though I have no idea what is her status in C ent.

Yibo joined as a trainee for kpop at 14 but I’d hardly say he has 7 years of experience. Technically yes in entertainment industry but he hardly acts.

            1
            0

Her ‘reputation’ that she has in the C-Entertainment industry is that she has a really sharp tongue and says it like it is. Many attribute it to her being a “village girl” (being born and raised in a remote village in China) with little to no sense of social cues 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔🤔

Hmmm But does trainee years also count towards actual experience being known by the public, being watched by the public over your every move, needing to watch what you say, and facing the public & media in all that you do??
I guess it’s subjective and just about perspective 😅😅

            1
            0

@bebeswtz I see what you mean now. Honestly, I know so little of C ent. It was something I didn’t want to get into. I have been watching kdramas way longer and I do the same for K ent. I never want to read or know too much of an actor because it’s all a facade. From the little I saw, I did note some differences between these two C and K in the way the artists present themselves to the public and their interviews.

About Yibo, now that I’ve read more about him, I know that he’s already been criticised for several things
            1. lack of education – He wrote some word wrongly on one or two occasions and they were forever mentioned that he has very little schooling.
            2. lack of intelligence – YB doesn’t articulate very well especially in contrast to many C artists who can.
            3. riding on the wagon on Day Day Up – again, he doesn’t talk much.

He seems very candid in his interviews to the point he might come across as rude. This part, I have no idea how he gets away with it considering that the norm is to be accommodating and overly polite. Maybe he doesn’t get away with it, I have no idea.

    😱😱😱🤩🤩🤩😃😃😃

Both Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are rocking it right now! Both have big projects coming and both with some of my favorite actresses! And huge actresses at that! Both are definitely on the rise as leading men. I’m honestly happy WY is in another historical 😍

        Blasphemy! 😱

I have seen people didn’t like WY’s hair but I personally loved his hair in the drama. Much better then some historical cdrama hair out there.

        3
        2

I loved his hair, too. Especially when it was styled in front like a crest. Hehe

          3
          0

it is not that his hair was not nice..
but level and intensity of drop dead gorgeousness varied.. in later half of drama when his hair is open, the intensity is 10/10 .. when his hair is all tied up in earlier episodes. its about 7/10

What do I do? I can’t stand Zhao Liying’s acting. She ruined Mystic Nine for me. She ruined Legend of Zu Mtn for me. I mean, those weren’t great dramas to begin with, but every time she was on screen it pulled me right out of the story because I can tell she’s just an actress acting a part. Even as much praise as Minglan got I couldn’t get past her acting. But does not anyone else feel this way? She’s so incredibly popular as an actress and I always wonder WHY??
The other actress who pulled me out of the drama is the one who played Wen Qing. I thought she always looked like she was being very careful to make sure she was on her Mark. And she just wasn’t very good. I mean, it might have been the directing, or perhaps she couldn’t do what the director wanted – since everyone else in the drama was fantastic! Did anyone else notice the same thing?
Now to Untamed and Wang Yibo: when I was first wondering whether or not to pick up Untamed or Longest Day, I looked at the actors’ pics on Viki. I thought Wang Yibo was very pretty, but I couldn’t tell who this Xiao Zhan was because his face was partially hidden. So I was really confused when I watched the first episode because I thought Wang Yibo was supposed to be the main lead.
I’m still not ready to accept either one in another drama as anyone else because both Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan ARE Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. Poor guys, they just want to act! They shouldn’t be so good.
But by the time anything airs we’ll be ready I’m sure.
And, @outofthisworld, didn’t realize I wasn’t following you or that you had such a treasure trove here. So glad!

I loved Zhao Liying in Ming Lan, I loved her in Princess Agents, even though the writing was a bit of a disaster, and she is really cute in Boss & Me. I’ve not seen the ones you listed so can’t comment on those. But there are definitely actors out there that I don’t like that everyone seems to loves (like Kong Hyo-Jin and Park Shin-Hye for me).

I do agree about the actress of Wen Qing (Zoey Meng). She didn’t give any life to her character so Wen Qing came off as extremely boring and lifeless. I was not sorry at all when she died. The only thing that would have made her acting worse was if she read directly from the script.

      3
      2

Thank goodness she didn’t have that much to say! But even her eye movements weren’t natural. And I never felt her emotional connection to her brother. Or maybe it was just that everyone else was so good at emoting…
Most people adore Zhao Liying. I’m an oddball!

You are not sorry when Wen Qing died!!! Waaaaa….wait, I was actually sorry because WWX was utterly broken. Btw PSH is my kryptonite.

I’m terrible at figuring out things, like PSH. What is PSH?? I really should know, but I’m clueless.

          1
          1

Btw (i do know what this one means) I copied -by hand – all the lyrics to Bu Wang, so gorgeous. Will type it up later a la poetry. I do love Wang Yibo’s voice. It’s kind of whispery, breathy, not rich like Xiao Zhan, but nevertheless really nice. I haven’t listened to his other songs on YT so for all I know he might have used this voice only for Untamed.

          1
          1

I haven’t heard any ballad besides this one. He was a rapper in Uniq and his songs are more pop with lots of auto tuning. I am watching his earlier drama now and he sang the theme song very nicely.

Oh, there’s this talk show that he and Xiaozhan appeared in. I think they were asked if they had any fav song they love to sing. Yibo and XZ sang separately bits of their songs – they were both was lovely but way too much reverb in the studio or whatever the sound effect they called it.

@linda-palapala I have no idea how following a beanie works, I thought it does nothing for tagging. Or has it changed? For this post, I didn’t tag anyone I think I’m the only one who’s currently more obsessed with Wang Yibo(I can’t even believe I am typing this!) than Xiao Zhan who I think almost all Untamed beanies are. I tagged @shach because she’s possibly the only one who saw me turned from dismissing WYB as a one hit wonder to seeing him as someone with potential.

On your initial reaction to Wang Yibo, I had the opposite. When I saw his Uniq day blonde hair pic, I almost didn’t want to start this show, hahaha! I was totally immune to the Lanzhan poster shots. I didn’t know who Xiao Zhan was but I figured he’s gonna be the one to carry the show because that kpop idol actor is just going to look pretty.

I love Wen Qing but I know what you mean about the actress. There were many times her expressions were exaggerated but I loved the character so much(because of her love for WWX) that it didn’t bother me.

I’ve only watched Zhao Liying in Minglan. I can’t say I love her to bits or her acting but I thought she fitted the role in Minglan well. I know some people can’t stand Yang Zi and I kinda know why but I just like her and love her in every role I see. It all boils down to personal preference.

      2
      2

Ha, ha…Ya’ know, I was just pretending to understand what “following” means – because I’ve no clue either! It doesn’t alert you to anything that I can find. Maybe it’s kinda like a “like” vote.
As far as Wang Yibo, I thought at the beginning he was more popular because fans knew more about him. I remember watching Marcus Sim (he does upcoming dramas on youtube) saying he’d never heard of Xiao Zhan before but he did know who Wang Yibo was. It really annoys me that Marcus Sim, who loves Wuxia, has never even tried to watch Untamed. He even said something about it just being a bromance.
No, I’m not as obsessed as you are with Wang Yibo (apparently). I’m only mildly obsessed… I mean, he doesn’t have that much history yet since he’s so young. I do love reading anything and everything about the two of them as it relates to Untamed.
I liked the idea of Wen Qing I just wish I wasn’t always aware of her playing a part.
All the other females were great. Especially WWX sister. But even the mom that you kind of hated at first redeemed herself when it was apparent she really did love her husband.
Wait – you’re not getting Wen Qing and WWX’s sister mixed up are you? Wen Qing was Wen Ning’s sister and I was glad to see her go. On the other hand, Jiang Yanli, we were all devastated when she died. I loved her character in the drama.

        1
        2

Hahaha! You are right! I got them mixed up! See how forgettable that actress is? I have no love for Wen Qing, pretty meh. Thank goodness Wen Ning was so much better. Yes, I didn’t miss her at all!

          2
          2

I remember first seeing Wen Ning (2nd ep?) and thinking what a non-essential character he was. Wow, this is another reason the drama was so great. Who would have thought he would turn out to be such a fantastic character!

            1
            0

Lol. I was ready to be disappointed in you for liking Wen Qing. Now I’m disappointed you got them mixed up instead 🤣 I was trying to remember when WWX felt devastated by Wen Qing’s death. I knew he was upset they killed all the people from burial grounds but never really devastated by her particular death (dont blame him).

On the other hand I loved WWX and his sisters relationship. It was sweet and I was also devastated along with WWX when she died (even though I knew it was coming). I thought the actress was perfect in her role ❤

            2
            0

and WN is supposed to be a few years younger.. the boy was killed at 17/18 .. because by 20 WX was already at burial ground..

WN and WQ is a b’ful relationship.. because everyone else has powerful backups..

BUT then, the only thing i learn from this book is.. never make a judgement before knowing the full picture ( the ONLY out an out negative character, including entire Wen clan before sunshot campaign, is JGY – i can still understand wen clan had its own way of operating but JGY is devil incarnated)

          1
          0

Ha, I totally understand you, I went into Untamed knowing nothing, just knowing the title and fell hard for XZ from the very first minutes and for better part I found WY very average bordering on ugly 😉 but now I’m obsessing over him just like you. I heard about UNIQ before but never paid attention to them, I got them mixed with Jackie Chan kpop boy band.

        1
        2

Huh? There’s a Jackie Chan kpop boy band? Good gracious, I just looked it up. Not that it matters because I could never tell one kpop band apart from another. Jackie Chan, my kryptonite, I have many.

@shach you were the only one who told me WYB looked better in modern garb than Xiao Zhan. I was like “No no no!” But I thought you were still firmly in XZ’s camp. I don’t even know why I am enjoying this minority thing so much 😛 Interestingly, there are people like me sharing almost the same journey. This alone, I must give to WYB.

@outofthisworld, haha this list is veryyy fluid and veryyy long ;), it depends on what dramas I currently watch, the newest cdrama addition beside XZ and WY: Xu Kai, Toby Lee and Li Zi Feng.

            1
            0

            @shach

I am going to try Arsenal soon and see how Xu Kai is, I loved that trailer though.

This is all kinds of strange. I watched kdramas and didn’t pick up pretty boys like the way I am now. I was still ‘boasting’ that I can count less than 5 fave actors.

            1
            0

@outofthisworld, I think Arsenal is Xu Kai peak in terms of look, that hair cut is extremly flattering on him.
I’m pretty the same with Kdrama, if only I fall for character only and would not follow actor any further. My biggest issue in Kent is promoting this extremly thinnes that make most guys over 30 look haggard and unhealthy, unfortunately this trend landed in China too, and a lot of young actors are really, really thin now.

            0
            0

That hair style was all the rage where I’m from but has died down somewhat.

I just can’t seem to think of any 30ish K actor who looks frighteningly skinny. I’m sure there is…I can only point out Lee Jun Ki. I have this impression that he starves himself so that he has a more chiselled jaw for kiss scenes. You are so right about overly skinny = haggard for older actors. A young actor can get away but not when he’s older.

I do understand that being slim looks better onscreen but not when it’s too much. That article which I post talked about XZ and WYB having to slim down to look better in their costumes. WYB has always been rake thin but I’ve seen clips of XZ when he was fuller. Sigh, the gorgeousness we have onscreen came at a price. I just hope this doesn’t continue forever.

WYB is an active guy. His dancing probably burns tons of calories plus his skate boarding and motor racing. XZ seems to be more into artistic pursuits given his background.

I have an 18 year old who looks not much different from WYB in built but taller. It’s an impossible task to fatten him up. So I think WYB’s skinniness could be natural and hopefully not due to any bad dieting from kpop days.

            0
            0

@outofthisworld, yes LJK is a first actor who comes to mind when one talk about unhealthy thinness, and I think XZ really don’t look well during his Jade Dynasty promos, he drowns in his clothes, WY looks better but maybe it’s the age thing, or maybe he already using fillers, who knows, I don’t think anyone who lived through kpop mincemeat machine was spare extreme dieting, it seems like power trip on the side of companies to have unreasonable demands to see how much they can control their idols. And fans are no better Lee Jun Ki and Xu Kai were both harassed by their own fans for gaining weight.

Yes, there was time when Chinese companis dipped in Kpop market by trying debut their groups in Korea but that fizzled out qucikly and poor guys were left on their own. Ang ugh I dislike Jackie Chan so much, and I loved his films when I was a kid.

            0
            0

Hahaha @shach I realized I used the word kryptonite wrongly – it seems to describe someone who I am weak for or can’t resist. I totally meant the opposite! Yeah, I liked Jackie Chan’s movies only when I was a kid. I don’t usually have a strong opinion on a celeb’s private life or character but he’s really one of my least fav.

Do you think WYB use fillers? Whatever for? I am shocked. Recently, someone on DB suggested that Yeo Jin Goo had plastic surgery or was it fillers. Okay, I get that he does look kinda different and eh…plasticky from certain angles but why should a 22 year old do such a thing? WYB just looks like he has baby fats on his face. When I was that age, I went on an extreme diet and almost became anorexic but I still had chipmunk cheeks! It would never happen to me now. I just lose 100g and people would say my face shrunk. Polite words. I probably looked haggard.

Talk about fans. I do not like actors who pay too much attention or give fanservice to their fans. I have strong views on this one. So far, it looks like WYB isn’t going to be this type.

@outofthisworld, in recent weeks a lot of former idols came with their stories, and being pressured by company into getting cosmetic procedures or even surgeries is most common theme, one girls was pushed into breast enlargemnt at the age of seventeen! And years ago member of group Busker Busker who was part of audition program, gave interview in which he revealed that participants were pressured into getting procedures like botox and filler because it would make them look better on tv. Botox and filler apparently give that “porcelain doll” look and even teenage idols using them, as extreme yoyo dieting and hectic lifestyle taking toll on their looks plus pressure from company and fear of competition, I mean I can buy “baby fat” in young ones but anyone over 25 who is stick thin (and that a lot actors and actresses there) and still have that round baby cheeks, rarely possible.

I’m a little late to this convo @outofthisworld and @shach but I personally thought Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo was way too thin. People have been complimenting them on how thin their waists were but it was too thin for me. I like a bit more meat or muscle on men. Sure they look good in the historical garb but outside of them I feel like I should be feeding them. I actually didn’t realize it was Xiao Zhan in the below image because of how thin he is + his undergarb looked like a dress on first looks + his hair is pulled up.

@trinpie Yes definitely too thin. I get that they did it for the show but I hope the guys will put back on some meat.

Days ago, someone post a picture of Woo Do Hwan and Yang Se Jong bare bodied bathing in a lake in the upcoming drama My Country. I was laughing because they looked so muscular especially WDH. I couldn’t help but be reminded of how thin XZ and WYB are.

I don’t need guys to be muscular, I prefer lean and toned but not as skinny as this.

@outofthisworld Wow, you really have to backtrack a lot to find a “reply” button.
Re too thin. I thought they made Xiao Zhan’s waist very small and tight to make him look more like a female figure (since he was the wife, at least in the novel). I remember reading he complained a bit about how uncomfortably tight the belt was.

@outofthisworld I’ve lost where the “pretty boy” comment is so I just found the first place I could click “reply” –
, but there’s one pretty boy that came to mind immediately – Zheng Ye Cheng from An Oriental Odyssey. He was especially pretty as the Prince, looked like a god from Egypt. He was also in Love O2O but not as pretty there as in Odyssey.

Part of XZ appeal is his personality, especially his smile (and his rabbit teeth as he affectionately calls them). But also his enthusiasm for life. And his beautiful rich singing voice.
WYB, the more you look at him the prettier he is. It might partially be to his youth – he has no aging-from-experiencing-life lines.
The most beautiful person in Gusu.

ha ha .. this is everybody’s story
there is a video on youtube, more like review video, and it came out around ep 13/14 when untamed actually got famous..highlighting the precise moment that made audience fall for yibo

until ep 6, nobody was giving a damn and WYB was just there..
but with the headbad adjusting scene in ep6.. that scene captures his cuteness so well..

and ep 13 cemented that this drama was not going the bromance way at all

Thanks for that! I agree, the headband adjusting and slapping away WY’s hand was the moment for me too!
Episode 13 – now I have to rewatch it again! Oh, wait, I just watched it. Is it 13 or 14 when WY has a fever in the cave, LZ sings to him, but the flashbacks of all their moments together – my favorite scene. Oh, wait, I have a lot more favorite scenes too! But it was nice to see them all together in one flashback memory.

WQ was bullied horribly by c-net because they thought she and WX will have an angle in the story.. SO MANY of her scenes got cut out..

e.g. in the turtle cave when WX takes the iron burn while saving MY.. earlier it was while saving WQ.. poor girl was so scared… apologized in one of her videos and kept repeating that she is nto taking away from the main storyline..

i feel sorry for her.. she was in tears when she said, I already don’t have many scenes ( and more of it will get chopped because cnetz were so hyper)

I read about that too, but only after I’d watched many of her scenes and didn’t think she could act so I’m not sad if many of her scenes were cut. But that would make sense since she’s listed as the main female lead (I thought the sister should have had that honor). I read she said she was always meant to die, that she was never meant to have any kind of relationship with WY. It seemed to me her whole storyline was to 1) protect her brother; and 2) make it possible to transfer the golden core.
I’d not read she was supposed to be the one in the cave that WY saved from the iron.
There were a few scenes in the beginning that it looked to me like they producers may have wanted to develop a deeper (romantic?) relationship between Wen Qing and WY, so I’ve often wondered just exactly how much filming they had done before all the complaints from netizens. It had to be quite early. On the other hand, WY was caring about everyone, so she was just one of many he cared about.
I do feel sorry for the actress, or any actor that gets bullied like that. It’s so mean, unfair and cruel for any reason.
But I had heard she actually took some scenes away from LZ, but who knows. I also heard (read) the netizens complained to the producers that they’d better not make it a romance between her and WY. I’d read at the end when LZ asks WY where he’s going to go, originally the line was he was going to find Wen Qing but even the author of the novel complained.
On another subject (I’ll say it here), I only just noticed last night that the vows LZ and WY made together were at the balloon ceremony. When they first met Song and his cultivation partner WY told them he and LZ had made vows together to be chivalrous and help the weak. I hadn’t realized before that he mentioned that so early in the drama.

actually . so yeah in the novel she dies..BUT

you know when all of them are staying at Burial cave,
to me that scene is very powerful when LZ visits them and she comes in to heal his wound (this is from the way it is written in the novel) .. the way these two argue, the fact that as a woman she is probably the only one who matches WX’s genius.. and their general convo.. it is very husband-wife dynamics

if this was hetero novel, WQ would be the girl… and don’t forget, WX is bi .. or atleast not just gay.. he has been flirting with girls all his life , even before he came to gusu

To me, in the burial cave she was acting more like his mom because she treated him like a child.
To me, it was LZ who knew he was gay from the beginning and that’s why he had no friends and was celibate, to restrain himself, especially in that strict of a sect. And wow, did he ever have to restrain himself around WY!
I didn’t think WY was bi, he definitely was interested in the normal females and flirting, and I think when he realized he loved LZ, well, he realized it wasn’t that he was gay or bi, but that he loved only LZ because it was LZ. I wonder how surprised he was when he came to that realization. It’s one reason I loved the duet in the cave scene and his remembering, he must have realized his feelings then.

            canon

he realized his love after resurrection
When they go into the house and the house owners return so WX pulls lz onto the straw heap for cover and they ARE lying on each other..

The couple is talking how their son teases some girl because he likes her.. and that’s what strikes WX that “boys tease girls whom they like”.. and as couple talks… he realizes he does all of that to LZ.. and then all his “weird” feelings since the 1st kiss (1st kiss as per WX knowledge 😛 ) start making sense

            2
            0

blame it all on WX bad memory.. he forgets..

LZ process of falling in love was very simple
          1. You are b’ful (outside of gusu gate), very observant and have advance knowledge ( outside of gusu gate when he says it is not a dead body), match me in fighting skills (the fight), and are even beyond me in academics (the 4th way 😛 )…………………and everyone is your friend ( 1st class would have been enough) but you tease only me ->>>> intensely attracted

          2. You are actually a nice guy (all WN, WQ, love for JYL, courage, bravery etc observed during class) Why do you treat me differently from your other friends ->>>> intensely jealous

          3. got approval from my ancestor + shucks! his mom died too.. AT AGE 4..
          –>>> I’m in love!!!

          3

Oh, yeah. I like your three point process.
What’s kind of hilarious is how much Lan Xichen wanted LZ and WY to be friends. He got a bit more than he asked for!

@alasecond Re canon – is this from the novel? Oh, yeah, as to be. Have to use my imagination visually. Is this the scene with Mian Mian’s family? I’ll go re read it, it’s in one of the extra chapters, right?
Yeah, I know he actually realized his love quite late. I still think he realized it subconsciously in the cave when he had those memories, but with a fever and losing it, he didn’t remember.

If you like 3 steps of LZ..you’d love 2 steps of WX

            1. I like everything pretty
            2. LZ is the prettiest

No.. so you do know right MDZS had multiple versions released..
in the original version, there is that realization scene.. which is not there in later version.. exiledrebel will not have that scene

in arsenal military, which epsiodes are good?
          or when does romance start?
is it heavy on romance.. (say untamed is heavy).. or in passing (very very side theme)

There’s no kissing…but they do walk off together into the sunset.
I’ve only seen 3 episodes though – the first two and the last.
There’s lots of flirting, I hear. From what I saw it looked to be a carbon copy and every trope of every drama ever.
I do so like Xu Kai and Bai Lu together, so that’s worth it.
