If the kpoop scandals spread to actors, how long till a lead in a currently-airing drama gets caught? Then do they:
1: Cancel the show?
2: Write him out of the story?
3: Keep him and try to tough it out?
4: Replace him with another actor?
4a: Without any explanation in the story?
4b: With an explanation involving surgery?
5: Replace him with a sock puppet?

    2 and 4a. I prefer 4 and 4b though.

I vote for 4b: explanation involving surgery.

I really want to see 5.

5 seems like the best option to me.

I’m sad for all the people who lose out because of one sketchy actor/singer, and some innocent people might get caught in the crossfire, but otherwise I like this trend. Now if you don’t want your whole production (=money) to go down the tubes, use decent people.

4 happened in a j-drama I was watching before. The scandal might have been drugs or something. The in-drama explanation was short and funny (“you look a little different, did you lose weight?” or something) and they moved on.

5 is the preferred option though.

This used to happen in American soap operas all the time. It was disconcerting at first but after a while you just got used to it.

I can still here the voice over that would announce the change during the new actor’s first scene.

Happened in Return. The replacement actress cut her hair and they moved on. I was not really bothered by the change.

Sock puppet would be more interesting to see though 😆.

Re-cast and re-film parts that scandalous actor has already flimed…. Just like they did for “My Ahjussi” when Oh Dal Su was accused of sexual abuse during the #MeTooMovement in S.Korea and replaced with Park Ho San

Park Hosan was really good in that role. I can’t believe he didn’t get offered it at first.

    4. it’s a chance for another actor, although 5. is tempting.

BTW, Choi Tae Joon left “Hotel DeLuna” over “artistic differences” buahaha.

either 4a or 4b, I’m fine with that
    6. replace with best supporting actor of all time, piano-ssi? lol

*patiently waiting for the name to be revealed so I can check my bias list*

Who’s listening to Frank Sinatra? I’ve heard he was an ass⚫ to women… I even like Kevin Spacey as an actor, but as a human being he’d screwed up big time. So maybe they should put a statement before you watch something that the actor is a trash and why and that they don’t agree with him and they didn’t know about his personal affairs while filming the movie…

I don’t know, but JJY looks like he’s a serious womaniser and was raised in a society which doesn’t care about welfare of women too much. His mental growth stuck in puberty when hormones control brain, that’s such a pity! He should be put in korean student’s books as an example how not to behave and there’s nothing like this acceptable in normal society because it’s spreading everywhere this kind of behaviour between young people, even some girls participate and are laughing at others, there’s no emphaty what’s so ever. In history look at Casanova, he even published his affairs which can be comparable to today’s secret filming and sex obsession.

5 would be hilarious, but either 2 (with the explanation for his absence being totally embarrassing and undignified) or 4a with an actor who looks nothing like the original but none of the characters notice
