A detective film next for Kim Myung-min

Kim Myung-min is in the last stages of finalizing his contract for a new project, wherein he plays a detective in a historical film, Joseon Detective Jung Yak-yong.

The movie is adapted from a mystery novel called Secret of the Gate of Virtue by famous historical novelist Kim Tak-hwan — why, by the way, also wrote the novel for Immortal Lee Soon-shin, which was the drama that made Kim famous and earned him his first Daesang award. Directing is Kim Seok-yoon, who did both the television and film versions of Old Miss Diary, and filming will commence once casting is finalized.

Kim Myung-min recently finished filming the thriller Demolished Man, in which he plays a minister who loses his faith in God when his daughter is abducted; he goes after the criminal (played by Eom Ki-joon in his first villain role) who makes contact eight years later. It will release in July.

So we have two awesome movies to wait for. Kim Myung Min is really an amazing actor. I'm sure both his movies will be great and I'm really liking the plot of both. Can't wait!

KMM is great actor , i watched Immortal Admiral Yi several times but still find it
amazing , from storyline to directing to acting skill of all the casts , only KMM is capable to act
such amazing drama , i believe this one will be another outstanding drama as
IAY and jewel in the palace

I've been wanting to watch the drama series, but doe to low interest, the english subbed version is not available anywhere.

Now I'll be able to watch a great actor in a Joseon CSI themed movie.

I'm very excited about this movie. I love KMM. There are so many characters that only he can play.

I was hoping that KMM would do another TV miniseries next, but I guess I'll have to wait...
