Park Shi-yeon drops film, Park Ye-jin steps in

Music-industry-centric movie Happy Together had originally cast Park Shi-yeon (Coffee House) in the lead role opposite Ji Hyun-woo, but Park has been forced to withdraw at the last minute due to her health, leaving just over a month before the film is to begin shooting.
According to her management, Park had previously received surgery on her back, which is acting up again, making it difficult for her to film. (Aftereffects of her surgery are also the reason she’d left variety show Family Outing a year ago.)
Instead, My Princess’s resident sourface bitchypants, Park Ye-jin, has been tapped to take over the role of a thirtysomething producer who wants to groom the twentysomething lead (Ji Hyun-woo) into an idol star. She joins rather late in the game and will be busy jumping from one project right into another, beginning shoots on Happy Together right after the currently airing My Princess wraps.
I kid about Park Ye-jin in My Princess, since it’s really her character I love to hate; Yoon-ju’s irritating and un-endearing, but in a way that makes it fun to watch (and plan her hypothetical demise). Not that I love Park Ye-jin’s rather listless portrayal, although you could argue that she’s doing her best to turn us against Yoon-ju. (I’m not really buyin’ that, since the best villains are the ones you relish.) But when compared to Park Shi-yeon — whom I never really cared for until she turned spunky and vivacious in Coffee House — I admit I’m a lot less interested. Plus, I fear she’ll come off more like Ji Hyun-woo’s mother than his producer/noona/dare-I-suspect-love-interest?
Kim Su-ro (God of Study) and ex-2PM member Park Jae-bum also star in Happy Together, which begins principal photography in March.

It is a shame - I really like Park Shi Yeon too. She's gorgeous, and she totally wowed me in Coffee House.
Here's hoping she recovers soon, and we can see her again in a great drama! (Movies are always over so quickly. *g*)

(i also liked shiyeon from Coffee House~ i'm sad her back is still not healed... T_T i really missed her from FO when she just abruptly left.)
as much as i hate yoonju, i think yejin is doing a pretty darn good job. usually when i see yejin i think of the sweet but violent girl who can catch chickens with her bare hands.
but while watching my princess, all i can think of yejin is... damn her bitchiness is up 100% :D

Being a guy, I had to look "fringe hairstyle" up. Since "fringe" refers to the combed forward bangs, I believe that maria's comments are directed at Park Ye-jin's photo. While I'm not crazy about it, I do think it's a better look than the total bitch look she's sporting in My Princess.
And I do agree with victor- Park Shi-yeon(and her hairstyle) looks downright beautiful. Simply stunning.
And I loved her in Coffee House. She blew me away with her performance.

Surgery or not, PSY was still a good-looking woman before she got the work done (actually, there was no need for her to get a nosejob).
However, at certain angles/facial expressions, PSY looks a bit weird/unnatural.

^Enough with the "Plastic Surgery" rant. It's her body and face and she can do whatever she wants with it.
And if plastic surgery would make you look anything as good as how she looks now, I don't blame her for doing it.
Anyway, Im bummed about her dropping out on the film. I was looking forward to another project from her after Coffee House. Anyways, I hope she gets better. She's had this problem eversince her Family Outing days!
I don't mind the replacement since I also like PYJ. I startedd to like both of them in FO.

I actually really like PYJ and while she was on FO, she was adorable with awkward, bumbling LCH so I think she'd make a good pairing with JHW. PSY seems too sophisticated to make a coupling w/ JHW believable anyway, so I think this will ultimately be a good switch. And yay for being able to see JHW again! :D

There's so much hate against PYJ because of her role in My Princess but I absolutely adored her. I think I'm being biased since I've been exposed to her during her Family Outing days. I love her personality, the way she carries herself, etc. so her character on My Princess didn't have that much of an affect on me. I think it'll be interesting to see her in Happy Together granted she looks a little older than JHW but I think it'll work--she just need to lose the disastrous of a haircut she's been given on My Princess. Oh! And she'll be reunited with Step-Mother Kim Su-ro! <3

oh nooooo.
i was anticipating Ji Hyunwoo n Park Siyeon since i really like both of them n i can imagine some pretty-looking chemistry already lol. nothing against park yejin.
anyway, it's nice seeing Ji Hyunwoo on a music-related role again, since he's the guitarist for band The Nuts, which is a really good band. and he's done some singing here n there as well.
i still remember him in Over the Rainbow as a part of bboy team lol....the drama is really good at portraying the ugly truths behind the glitz and glamour of entertainment business, particularly on the idols' lives n real personalities. it opened my eyes a lot, not to just eat up whatever idols claim to be on shows etc.
but the love story in there sucks really bad n Seo Jihye's character ruined what could've been a tight story because she's just there as the generic bumbling kind hearted heroine that just didn't fit that story imo, and thus felt forced. sorry i went off topic.
anyway, i'll always remember ji hyunwoo as the socially awkward PD who's interested in a noona, in old miss diary sitcom, Ji PD is the most damn adorable awkward thing..i mean, guy.

Considering that this (either way) would be a mini-reunion of former cast members of FO, it's kinda funny seeing all the "hate" for PYJ due to her role as the ice-cold/robotic villain in MP, while PSY is getting all the love.
In FO, PSY didn't leave much of an impression (to be fair, she was in pain during the shooting and probably was taking pain killers which kept her rather listless/sedate) while "sweet and savage" PYJ was one of the most popular members.
PYJ was "savage" (when it came to acquiring/eating meat) but definitely showed her sweet side as well - outbattling Hyori in aeygo.
PSY really opened my eyes w/ her charming portrayal in CH (hope her health problems get better), but I think PYJ will do a good job.

Park Ye Jin FTW !!. I'm a fan of her as an actress and am so happy to hear that she is getting offers etc. Don't know why everyone seems to be hating on her yes the character she plays in My Princess is Queen of Bitches BUT PYJ definitely isn't one so I'm excited for her plus mini FO - reunion :)
