Drama viewership ratings for the week of April 12-18, 2021

We’ve got more new shows! Premiering mid-week, we had Sell Your Haunted House replace Hello? It’s Me! and Law School replace Sisyphus. Both performed pretty well, Law School’s first episode even earning more than Sisyphus’s finale. Looks like poor Oh! Master is the lone rom-com in this time slot now.

The weekend was a little empty, with Revolutionary Sisters and Vincenzo out for the week. The dramas aired specials instead (which aren’t listed here), Revolutionary Sisters’ getting 14.2 percent and Vincenzo’s getting 4.4 percent. Without Revolutionary Sisters in the mix, Taxi Driver shot to the top with 15.6 percent.

I felt unexpected that Revolutionary Sisters went into one-week hiatus as same as Vincenzo did before, because the former show's star quarantined after came contact with the Covid-19 patient. I can't believe that only Taxi Driver continued to rise with its highest rating so far.

Taxi Driver - 15.6% Yay!
I love this show! It's sooo good!
Lee Je-hoon is amazing.
I have a feeling that he will take Daesang or at least Best actor at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards...

Lee Je Hoon has always been one of my favs. His chemistry w/ Shin Min Ah was legendary!! This show was going to be recapped on here but it got taken off :( I do hope it can be given a space where we can talk about, or it gets wee-capped?

Same here! I think Penthouse could, but honestly this show could surprise and end up doing 20% ratings or order. I mean, if the audience keeps growing, wouldn't be shocked. Finally, Lee Je Hoon gets a successful show based on his own name as a lead, and not overshadowed by bigger names. I think he'll nominated by Daesang at this rate, and a possible win too? He's been at this biz for 12 yrs now, if Joo Won got one 5 yrs in his career than this shouldn't be an issue!!

On a shallow note, LJH looks so sexy in this show. His smooth voice, suaveness, and demeanor, fans self!!

Totally agree!
Only 4 episodes so far but he is fantastic!
I'm so happy that he finally got a great role!
Kim Do-gi fits him and he delivers really really well.
And oh yes, he is soooo sexy!
I really hope he will be nominated/win Daesang and I'm sure he will be nominated for Best Actor at Baeksang next year.

The only thing is there are still elements, I'm not that into it (like the choppy editing and case procedurals). The thing that's keeping me in this show is LJH's fabulous portrayal of his role/the whole underbelly (prison cell)?, anti-heroes, and the cool ass car.

LJH was always great imo in his films/dramas, he's been well recognized for them. But he tends to do more arthouse films, and his dramas usually had bigger co-leads/stars, so at the time, people attested the show's success or lack of to either his co-star and the lack of success to him lol.

He is super sexy lol. Cute and sexy!! I can tell he keeps himself in great shape!! I always liked him and have a soft spot for him as Signal (which was my first intro to him) and one of the first K-dramas that I watched that wasn't romance based and was in the thriller genre. So I'm glad he's been able to do interesting work in (films/dramas), and his work shows that!!

I think he'll be nominated for the Daesang (if things are like this), at the SBS Awards (Possibly win too unless Penthouse takes it) but I think this has the more justice served well aspect compared to Penthouse, plus he's the main/full star of Taxi Driver (As the name states, its his show), he's the title character. I think best chance is winning Best Actor (SBS), and be nom'd at the Baeksang's.

This is his Kim Nam Gil moment (where he's finally getting recognized for his merits) after a long time in the business. Hope a Daesang follows suit. If Taxi Driver ends in mid May or so, then we've only have 6-7 more months for actual dramas to finish their run, to see the competition. Outside of this, can't think of any upcoming SBS shows that'll merit the same high ratings/acclaim rn.
