Eve: Episodes 11-12 (Drama Hangout)

Eve: Episodes 11-12

Behold, your weekly Drama Hangout! We might not be covering this drama, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be a place to talk about it, whether that’s squealing with excitement or piling on the analysis.

This thread is exclusively for this week’s episodes and anything prior, so let’s try to keep it as a place to chat about what’s aired — not spoil future plot points for unsuspecting eyes.

This is one of the best dramas I've seen in a while. Probably my favorite of all currently airing. Things are definitely moving at a rapid pace and I'm just here for the ride. I wonder how Chairman will react once he learns about La-el/Sun-bin's identity. Tbh I think he fell in love too quickly, but the plot was so well acted/planned out that I actually believe in his love/care/lust/infatuation(????). Plus I guess it helps that he's married to someone as horrible as So-ra

So-ra is just awful, isn't she? Then again, look at her father.

At this point, it's not far-fetched to believe that everyone is going to end up dead.

I think that would be the most reasonable ending.
FF is my good friend when I watch the drama, but I like the actors too much to pass this.
Everyone is so miserable that I won’t believe any goods will happen in the end.

Honestly! I'm a little greedy though. I want Chairman and La-el to have a happy ending (somehow). Even though, a tiny part of me knows that Chairman is just as culpable in the whole Geckis takeover business. Cos, he had the files tucked away neatly in his very elaborate hideout , suspiciously covered in blood. Like, dude....surely you can put two and two together. #facepalm

On weekly outfit watch - most of them were pretty tame compared to some of the ramp-walk outfits (it is not a criticism in any way, SYJ looks ah-mazing) in the show. My favourite one was the white pant-suit. Where can this beanie get that outfit without any significant damage to the wallet?

I agree. The outfits are FIRE. SYJ is slaying every single week and I love to see it. But the wardrobe choices are so beautiful that they're almost distracting. Like, do SK housewives pull a NYFW EVERY time they go to drop off their kids at school? Or at EVERY PTA meeting or ballet practice? Genuinely curious.

The outfits in this show are certainly something else, for sure.
If nothing else, this show has certainly shown some fantastic fashion pieces in the mix.

I love reading the outfit of the week discussion on here and I am not even watching the show. They have the shows with the rich families or the idol/tv presenter where it makes sense to dress the person up but I do wonder how many accessories and outfits are actually sold because someone saw it on a drama.
The phones, cars and household items like fridges make sense as even I have googled some of those items as I have not seen them elsewhere.

Yes, the off white pants suit was top of my outfit chart this week too. I felt these two episodes dragged and I did FF through bits at times. ML shock expression finding out that KSB was LRE was exactly the same mono expression he has had through the series. I didn't come across him in other dramas before, is he the same in those?

I am not watching this one so not sure how he is presenting but I saw him in Oh my baby. His character was ridiculous in terms of second lead controlling if I can’t have you I would rather we were both unhappy single people. He nailed being annoying in that.

Thanks for your response, I was wondering if I would start Oh My Baby, but honestly, the fact he is in it is putting me off somewhat!

Oh my baby was annoying with noble idiocy taking a leading role it was too long so I would not recommend it unless its a filler because there is NOTHING else you want to watch.
Matrimonial chaos was my last watch have you seen that? I liked it. I have not seen Son Sukku in anything else so couldn’t work out if he was playing a vacant character or if his go to style is someone spaced out on drugs! It didn’t put me off but I couldn’t understand why people rated him so highly in My Liberation Notes

Excellent, I'll go for Matrimonial Chaos in that case. Appreciate the recommendation!

@aoiffe hope you like it. It was recommended by line of the Beanies

He was quite good in This life is my first and I have similar opinion as @reply1988 about his part in Oh my baby.

Amidst all the drama, don’t you think their kids are the most innocent ones??? Poor children suffering due to their parents! Overall, this show is enjoyable because of the superb and sometimes over the top actings. The script and direction is somewhat predictable but I do enjoy the revenge plot towards the end. The build up of the drama is at times draggy initially but it gets crazier towards the end.
