Curiously, the story sets off with said uncle suddenly dying and we follow his niece in the events that unfold upon delivering the news to his clients. Currently in the planning stages, the drama will have an 8-episode run and is aiming to release next year on an international online platform. [Star News]

  • A conflicted Kim Hyun-joo (Hellbound) and Park Hee-soon (A Model Family) take center stage in SBS’s moody new posters for Trolley. The mystery-melodrama also stars Kim Mu-yeol (Juvenile Justice) and Jung Soo-bin (Revenge of Others), and will be coming to our screens on December 19 in the Monday-Tuesday slot. Production is being led by PD Kim Moon-gyo (Lovers of the Red Sky) and writer Ryu Bo-ri (Do You Like Brahms?). [SBS]

  • Kang Ki-young (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) is on the casting table for JTBC’s Until the End (working title), potentially joining Lee Jia (Penthouse 3). Production for the drama is still in the planning stages. [SpoTV News]
  • ENA announced their lineup for a new suspense called Happiness Battle, which stars a charismatic ensemble: Lee El (My Liberation Notes), Jin Seo-yeon (One the Woman), Cha Ye-ryun (Gold Mask), and Park Hyo-joo (Now We Are Breaking Up). • In the meantime, ENA’s Unlock the Boss is gearing up for its December 7 premiere and the latest promos feature our main trio in new character posters. With our trapped CEO Park Sung-woong (Snowdrop) running dangerously low on battery, his last hope is on our down-on-his-luck hero Chae Jong-hyeop (Love All Play) and super secretary Seo Eun-soo (Missing: The Other Side). [News1]
  • Over on KBS, a new retro-style poster has dropped for Run Into You, featuring our time-travelling duo Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs) and Jin Ki-joo (Showtime Begins). Holy Idol looking forward to the name change for this one giving a clearer idea of what it could be about. Tentatively adding to the could be a contender wait and see list.
I hope Unlock the boss is as funny as it looks in the trailers and the thriller elements are toned down scary I really want to watch it while it’s airing and not have to wait until it’s done to see if it’s a safe watch.

Honestly, the title Holy Idol took me out initially (the impression I got was an idol who blesses people with his music and performance). But then it made sense considering it's about a magic-wielding priest from a fantasy world who unwittingly possesses the body of an idol in another universe. What's funny is that Lee Jang-woo's character gets taken over by the holy priest's arch nemesis, a demon lord lol

This is sounding more like a walk away for me the more details that are added.

LDW drama seems interesting but need more info on how that works if he is dead. Uncle and niece set up seems too far fetched for their real age but I will reserve my opinion until more info is released.

I'd rather have them play uncle and niece than lovers. Although I agree that their respective ages are a little closer than normal for uncle and niece.

I agree that she may be too young for a lover. But you never know with kdramas. There are bigger age gaps on real age of actors who played lovers onscreen.

I wonder if any KDs are being written about actors who have had so much plastic surgery their ethnicity is now beyond undeterminable and is in the uncanny valley territory.

😆 One whole episode could be devoted to the horrors of surgically-created dimples and their asymmetric decay over time.

@elinor: Yeah. I know bodily autonomy includes altering it but some of these plastic surgeons should have their licenses taken away.

The novel The Murderer's Shopping Mall is written by the same author of The Murderer's Shopping List. I came upon the former while searching for the latter when it was airing. I initially thought it was the same book due to the similarity of the titles, but this is about the female protagonist finding out her late uncle actually ran an Internet store which supplies suspicious items (hint: crime), and she is also targeted like him (the official cause of death is suicide, but murder). From the novel's blurb, Lee Dong-wook will likely star in flashbacks. It seems like this is much darker in tone than The Murderer's Shopping List, and the two actors are a perfect fit for a bone-chilling thriller setting.

This got me in hysterics 😂😂 Speaking of which, Jung So-min and Kang Ha-neul will play an estranged married couple in a rom-com who are about to finalize their divorce when Kang Ha-neul's character gets into an accident and loses his memories (oh no! Or more like oh yes?). I hope we get to see more of their couple moments that we haven't got to see in their film Twenty.

Oh, I’ve missed doing these. Feels good to be back where I belong!

1. Love the pairing of them as uncle and niece, but would’ve enjoyed them actually interacting onscreen instead of death and dying?

2. I’m so excited to see Kim Bo-kyul in a drama again! And the cast too! I like everyone involved.

3. Hot people being angsty and sad - my favourite genre.

4. Leading man Kang Ki-young LET’S GOOOOOOOOOO. I HAVE PRAYED FOR TIMES LIKE THESE!!!

5. You mean Happiness Battle for sapphics because that’s what will happen if we see all those gorgeous women sharing the screen at the same time.

6. Still the most bizarre premise I’ve seen from a drama, but I’ll judge after I see a few episodes.

7. Love the poster. Excited for this.
