My partner will watch anything Song Kang-ho is in, so I’m interested to learn more about that one.

How was Suho in the Butt Show? I honestly cannot picture him in a sageuk, but also don’t really have any experience with his acting. I like him in general though so I hope he does great!

Suho was monochromatic in the butt show. I liked him until I didn't. He looks cute and has a sum total of two expressions, almost, though not quite, in the league of Eun Woo.

Disappointing but not unexpected. Still, practice can only be a good thing!

The concept of The Crown Prince Has Disappeared sounds very fun, and I loved Bossam, but I'm very ??? about the leads... hmmm... hopefully with such a stacked production they excel!

6. Well, if you cut off the wedding cake, would this transform into a Miami Vice poster? 😂 (Granted, only thing missing would be palm trees mirrored in their glasses!)

There are two female kdrama actresses that I "follow" (put on watchlist when their name appears) and the remarkable Jung So Min is one of them. So glad that she is returning to the small screen for Mom's Friend's Son. Billed as a "friends-to-lovers rom-com"??? I'm already obsessing over it - and the fact that it's tvN, so a likely Netflix platform.

Yes! Good news, really liked her in the dramas I watched with her (Mudeok!). Cannot wait for this Jung Hae-in drama…! *leaves a well measured “wooohoooo!”*

Netflix would be awesome, too.

The only two I'm not particularly excited for/intrigued by are The Bequeathed and The Crown Prince Has Disappeared.

Uncle Sam-Sik could be the 2024 On the verge of insanity with the veteran actors giving depth to a character led tale.
Looking forward to Mom’s friend’s son and Queen of divorce. I hope all three deliver.

1) I'm kinda sorry for the public channels, they can't afford big names like Song Kang-Ho, Ryu Seung-ryong, etc.

2) I'm so happy to read it! I already love this pair!!!

3) Not a fan of horror drama/movie...

4) I love drama that mixes actors from other countries. I like the casting of this one.

5) Suho is not good enough as an actor to be a lead. Rich Man, Poor Woman remake was disapointing. In the same time, I wonder who thought he could replace Oguri Shun.

6) I'm curious about it.

Yes for Mom's friend's son and excited for Queen of divorce (if the time permits). I am not sure about Su-ho drama, I was alright in Butt show and that was because of the show it self made him quite likeable.

1. Awesome cast.
2. Hope the writing is good. Wasn't too taken in by Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
3. Already on my Netflix watchlist.
4. Seems like it has all the makings of a classic.
5. I love you Kim Jun-myeon, but what were you thinking ... a sageuk, really??
6. Bring it on! I want to up my throwing a flower pot on a dastardly villain game alongwith Kang Ki-young.

The year-end has had a really jam-packed viewing schedule, especially over the weekends. So many dramas, so less time.

2. I love the casting, but I didn't care for Hometown Cha Cha Cha. I binged a lot of drama in the past few months, but this was the only one I dropped after a few episodes.

I can't even pin point why I dropped it. I just didn't really care for either of the lead characters.

I disliked both HomeCha and Crash Course, but Jung So-min and Jung Hae-in have my full attention, so 🤷🏼‍♀️? I'll have to check out the promos. It's a long way off.

Queen of Divorce has to have some romance between the leads, right, even if it's subtle? The poster is giving that vibe

No. 1. UNCLE SAMSHIK. Disney+ puts the kibosh to my watching it. I would have loved to see Sang Kang-ho and especially Byun Yo-han in a drama together but alas it won’t be happening.

No. 2. tvN’s MOM’S FRIEND’S SON. Being a Jung Hae-in fan and if it is available on a legal steam in the US I am sure I will be there.
If you are interested in the background on the concept in Korean society of a ‘mom’s friend’s son’ check out this link describing the korean word: Umchina:

No. 5. MBN’s THE CROWN PRINCE HAS DISAPPEARED. It looks to me like BOSSAM (2021) in an alternate universe.

I'm sorry to hear. 😔 I miss Byun Yo-han like crazy. I can't wait to see him back in dramaland.
Figures, Chungmuro's veterans Song Kang-ho, Choi Min-sik (Big Bet), Ha Jung-woo, and Hwang Jung-min (Narco-Saints) would most likely bring a film writer and PD. Netflix is bringing Kim Yoon Seok to dramaland in "Alone in the Woods (2024)," Sol Kyung-gu will be in "Whirlwind" with Kim Hee-ae. I love the writer, and I'm excited about that. Also, "Hyper Knife" with Park Eun-bin?
I don't watch as many K-films as I used to, so it's good to see Chungmuro's finest in Dramaland. We will always have Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Suk-kyu, Cho Jin-woong, Kim Hee-ae, Kim Hye-soo, and more going back and forth between the big screen and dramaland.

Good news on the Byun Yo-han front. I just discovered that his award winning film THE BOOK OF FISH (2021) is now available to rent in HD on Youtube for 0.99. Finally I will be able to watch it.
Thanks for the tips for upcoming dramas. This is the first I have heard of all 3 of them.
The Netflix thriller ALONE IN THE WOODS will probably be a definite for me. WHIRLWIND being a heavy political drama probably not. HYPER KNIFE sounds like the evil version of A BEAUTIFUL MIND (2016) (Viki US) which was an early Jang Hyuk favorite of mine. Definitely TBD if it will be a watch.
