Moon Sang-min ruins Jeon Jong-seo’s Wedding Impossible

A batch of teasers and stills have dropped for tvN’s Wedding Impossible starring Jeon Jong-seo (Bargain) and Moon Sang-min (Duty After School). Based off a web novel, the upcoming rom-com is about a no-name actor who gets hired to be a fake bride, but complications arise when her future brother-in-law objects to the union.

The first teaser focuses on younger brother Lee Ji-han (Moon Sang-min), and he questions who the woman next to his brother is. When he hears that the two are getting married, he responds, “With whose permission?” The teaser calls him even worse than “mother-in-law world” and our protagonist sits in front of his conspiracy board dressed up like a spy. His mission? To stop this marriage.

Mashing the individual character teasers into one, we also get a glimpse at the antagonistic relationship between our two leads. The teaser opens to bride-to-be Na Ah-jung (Jeon Jong-seo) wearing a wedding gown and accepting the deal to become her friend’s bride. As soon as she agrees, Ji-han eavesdrops on her conversation and gathers intel on his enemy. Standing on opposing sides, the two leads gear up for their battle — she wields a bat, and he puts on boxing gloves. Will this marriage proceed, or will he succeed in stopping it?

While Ji-han might be a bit of an oddball in the teasers, the recent stills show him being a relatively average office worker. Despite being the youngest grandchild of a chaebol family, he hides his background and works diligently. However, Ji-han does have one ambition, and that’s making his older brother Lee Do-han, played by Kim Do-wan (Doona), the company’s successor. Unfortunately, his plans are ruined when Do-han announces his nuptials, so Ji-han’s new goal is to stop Ah-jung from marrying his brother.

tvN also released a first look at Bae Yoon-kyung (Crash Course in Romance) who plays CEO Yoon Chae-won. Capable and beautiful, everything Chae-won touches turns into a hit, which makes her everyone’s ideal “bride.” Ji-han concurs with this sentiment, and so, he approaches Chae-won to consider marrying his brother.

This wouldn’t be a drama, though, if things went so smoothly, and relationships get tangled as lines are blurred. Even sworn enemies start to warm up to each other as seen in the stills, and I bet there’s a third option where both our leads complete their missions.

Directed by PD Kwon Young-il (Doom at Your Service, My Unfamiliar Family) and written by Park Seul-gi (Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist) and Oh Hye-won, tvN’s Wedding Impossible premieres on February 26 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
