A grown man pretending to be a student in high school because of being a secret government agent is gross no matter who is cast! I was about Drew Barrymore and her brother’s con-jobs in “Never been kissed” and how at the time there was hardly any critical commentary about the predatory contexts in that film. It was all cute-washed.

Only excited for Acquaintances (for romcom). My second romcom I am planning to watch in 2024. I also look forward to 3 and 5, since I love thriller and veteran actors.

Is timeslip different to time travel as a genre? And if so, how?

Is Blood Free going to run immediately following "my daughter turned into a chicken nugget?"

Really looking forward to Blood Free, secretly hoping it'll be another exciting immersive fast-paced drama like Forest of Secrets that drew me in right from the get go. I have confidence in the male lead after watching him in Jirisan, but not so sure about female lead after watching her in Happiness and Moving. I mean, she's not going to ruin the drama by any means but not really expecting a notable performance either.
Also looking forward to Acquaintances because my love for Lee Joon Hyuk is on its last legs. It's just been way too long since his last drama as lead. I'm equally looking forward to Han Ji Min after seeing her in Rooftop Prince and Behind Your Touch. She still has the magic touch after all these years. One of the handful of actresses that I genuinely enjoy watching on the screen, given the right screenplay and male lead of course.

As long as Seo Kang-joon in Undercover High School has zero romance -- whether with a student OR a teacher because even if she knows his secret identity, it's still a student-teacher relationship.

1) I'm happy to hear news about Seo Kang-joon but he would be more credible as a PE teacher than student...

1. I hadn't realized he has been out almost a year. The premise for this is interesting, it is giving dolasol....hmmmm. A grown up in High School.

Oh, dear. I'll lower my expectations then... 'Forest of Secrets/Stranger' is one of my all-time favourite k-dramas, and I had been looking forwards to another series by Lee Soo-yeon. But 'Grid' was a mess.

1. I like Seo Kang-joon as an actor, but this premise right off the bat sounds so incredibly icky and damned to predatory power dynamics that I'm giving it an automatic 'no' unless future info somehow makes it less gross.

2. I've already been palpitating in excitement over my anticipation for this drama (Lee Jun-hyuk male lead?? ROMCOM??!!?!) and casting a rising actor whose work I've steadily enjoyed (I very much recommend his super-cute/fluffy KBS Drama Special Confession Attack) only heightens my expectations.

3. Finally a new Lee Soo-yeon script - dramaland is healing.

4. I guess Ji Hyun-woo is now stuck playing MLs in dramas I won't touch with a ten foot pole. Good to know.

5. Not to be mean to Yeon Woo-jin - who is an awesome actor with a penchant for interesting role choices - but if I was married to Jang Seung-jo there would never even be a chance for a love triangle/ex-boyfriend/one-who-got-away type of entanglement; I would be happily and monogamously married. Which is why the billing makes me nervous as hell.

6. No way travelling back to the distant (???) year of 2008 is a real thing that shows can now do. Time is fake. Time is an illusion. 2008 was NOT that long ago!! *stomps foot petulantly, denying reality*

1. Han Ji-min + Lee Joon-hyuk is a pairing I'm always excited by, so yeah, I might check this out when it airs.

2. I'm excited for Blood Free. Love the leads, love the writer, and the premise sounds right up my alley.

This week in a YT interview, Han Ji Min stated that the producers of BUTT TOUCH sold her on the series as setting herself up as a rom-com queen. However, she said there was not one bit of romance in the final scripts. She is just about to start filming her new series. She said her biggest fear/worry about this new project was being cast as a CEO. Not the role of a CEO, but because she has to wear high heels. She said in all her previous projects, she NEVER wore high heels!

No. 1. UNDERCOVER HIGH SCHOOL. Welcome back Seo Kang-joon. Kang-joon, upon careful consideration, please decline the offer for this drama. You deserve better like perhaps WATCHER 2.
