This year’s list is growing, and lately I’ve really been liking PMY as Mok Hae-won in When the Weather is Nice.
She’s a quiet sort of person, but never afraid to speak her mind, and stands up for herself when she is wronged.
I didn’t like people who showed up at my door after being turned down by me. Some people think it’s romantic, but I disagree. I felt they ignored my feelings and wanted to have their way. They should respect my feelings if I turn them down. They should accept it if I don’t want to accept their apology.
Hae-won is great. I’ve been feeling recently that either I’ve seen too much of Park Min-young, or she just hasn’t been connecting to her roles lately, because I don’t feel like she’s really slipped into a role since Healer? While I still say that’s her best performance, she is killing it a Hae-won. I can tell that she thinks deeply and that she’s always a little bit angry. When she said, “I didn’t even know I was cold,” I felt that Park Min-young was really doing her justice.
Mok Haewon is a breath of fresh air. I haven’t been connecting to any of PMY’s characters since Healer too. I liked her in Seven Day Queen but the rest were basically the same characters and same rom-coms. I’m so glad she chose this drama this time.
I love HaeWon, she’s not the kind of strong we usually see. She’s the kind of quiet strong, but strong after all.
These two can be a perfect couple.
They need time.
Jung Guem Ja in Hyena is amazing representation in the sense that she’s a grey character. Also in an episode of Hyena, the victim, abuser and lawyers were all women. That was a great episode

Will 2020 be the year of Strong Female Leads?

I still need to start on that show! But I’m swamped with dramas, so I’ll watch it after it ends and when I have more space on my drama plate
