You’re not alone! 🤚 Me – I’m enjoying See You In My 19th Life!! I like the plot, the actors, and the pace. I’m not in the recap threads, either.

I really like it! Things I particularly love:

The bright summery palette – and the fact that it was filmed in warm weather, so the characters can wear light clothes and enjoy the sunshine or warm evenings. Much as I love a tailored wool coat, it just feels so much lighter when no one needs one. And Cho-won’s garden in full summer bloom is glorious.

The main characters – the FL’s weirdness and don’t-give-a-damn attitude, the ML’s befuddlement (and the poor guy’s sadness and guilt), the SFL’s brightness, and the SML’s superficial churlishness make an interesting mix.

Ae-gyeong. ❤

The remembered reincarnations aren’t a totally new concept, but the way they’re handled here is new to me and keeps me guessing.

The swimming pools, especially the blue-tiled hotel pool and the ML’s steamy refuge at home. We’ve seen so many traumatic drowning/near drowning episodes in other dramas that it’s great to see water as a refuge and source of comfort, even as it also sometimes reinforces Seo-ha’s isolation and silence.

The pretty pretty people. I admit it, I’m shallower than the shallow end of those pools.

I like the whimsy, I like the colors….Its a vibrant drama. I don’t mind the cliches. I love all 4 leads, Ae Gyeong….the music is soothing. Seo Ha being so traumatized of new relationships and taking one step forward and 2 step backwards isn’t surprising to me. Just going by the draka, Ji Eum bulldozed his life and has given him good reasons to be weary. She is Joo Won and hasn’t tried to act like she isn’t. So I get why the guilt, the confusion made him push her back after taking a step forward with her. He is human and he does crave warmth, affection and a safe space with loved ones. I also understood why Ji Eum just couldn’t let him suffer anymore. Firstly, she knows she can prove it..2. She does love Seo Ha and wants to ease his pain fast….given the circumstances, she has every reason to confess…because survivors guilt aside, a lot more has been unloaded on Seo Ha very fast and it made her desperate in wanting to protect him. So, episode 7 and 8, made sense. This will not be one of the stories where the male leads falls in love without knowing the identity, this is very much a story where his love is based on past connections. So, I can’t wait for episode 9 and 10 where Seo Ha and Joo Won/Ban Ji Eum take the burden off two lifetimes.

I’m liking it. I basically swallowed the first 4 episodes whole (from 11 pm -3 am one night) and cried all the way through them. The kids were so good in those episodes. I like how the show goes back and into her lives and shows us different vignettes about her lives.

I am loving the little scenes from her past lives, the gorgeous scenery, and the music fits really well. I am excited to see the connections between the characters in her first life with now. I love the second couple and looking forward to their get together. The clothes for the main characters are great thankfully not too much, if any, women in ridiculously short skirts or uncomfortable shoes. I love that they knew we needed to know the outfits were a quality brand and see the range. When you go on the store website they have the actress modelling for them😊
