I would like to surgically remove the amusement park scene from Heartbeat. Thank you and goodnight. 🫣

We will be in the minority, but YES!

It was, however, sweet when she pulled out the thermos full of ox blood.

That was a sentence I don’t think I could have predicted I would ever type.

Ha! I’ll give you that. When the drama does something unexpected but completely logical within the show’s universe, it wins. But the rest of it…

I didn’t want to open up the discussion until the recap but I was so, so high after Ep. 11, then 12 happened. But RenOshi did it for us!

Still TeamHeartbeat tho. At least they didn’t cosplay!

Ha! That was the only clever moment; the rest could have been cut-and-pasted from ANY other drama. I wouldn’t have minded it quite so much if I hadn’t just suffered through the same date with exactly the same rides in King the Bland. Maybe it was even the same park but you couldn’t pay me to go back and look. I feel a little sorry for the child actor, whose existence in this drama was apparently only for the purpose of saying painfully clichéd (and painfully delivered) lines about love and allowing the leads to playact at being the family they never had. Definitely a false note.

I was hoping for the same experience In-hae had- didn’t want to go but it turned out fun once you’re there. But nope lol 🙈 It wasn’t the worst, but kdrama amusement park dates are, at minimum, a cringe and a half

I just loathe the ‘macho guy is actually scared of rides’ trope. We know a vampire cannot be scared of a haunted house! It makes no sense and it does not make him endearing. It’s eye roll inducing 🙄

Would have been lot more fun had he scared off the ones trying to scare him.
        This made no sense. Zero

I just fast forwarded the whole thing, I have no idea why kdramas keep trying to make amusement park dates a thing. It’s barely one step up from the “sandwich on a bench” date they were hard propping a few years ago.

I hope this trend goes away soon! It’s like those mandatory tooth brushing scenes that was in every drama ever. *shudders*

Me too! They’ve dodged a lot of tropes too so it was kind of jarring the writer picked such an illogical and annoying one to embrace 😅
