    In that second image from the bottom, I wanted so bad for them to extend their hands towards one another again—NOT TOUCHING—in what could then become their perennial game of “Handshake Chicken.”

    It was frustrating how they just sat there 😭

    Ooooh, that moment was SO GOOD!! The MIL’s clarification was unexpected – I had to rewind to rewatch so I could fully appreciate it!! Definitely a worthy adversary for evil stepmother.

      MIL is playing chess compared to stepmother playing checkers. She’s the queen of the board. Love that she’s not just an ally of Yi joo and Do guk but that she’s smart and sympathetic.

      Evil Stepmother thought she is getting her way until MIL clarified what she meant! I def rewatched it again about few times. The last time to screencap it. 😅
