Jeez, this is so so silly, but I gotta say, Park Min-young is selling it hard. Even though I finished the webtoon, so most of the plot is still fresh in my mind, I’m having a lot of fun. They had me at punching away the kettle 🤣
But please, PLEASE, burn Na In-woo’s character’s entire closet. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a suit this ill-suited. He looks like he raided his dad’s closet (or grandpa’s for the shirt+cardigan combo) and is playing dress-up. That + his weird acting is making me unable to look at him without laughing.
Since I now know Na In Woo as the bumbling cast member in 1N2D, I can’t take any of those expressions seriously. The suits and cardi has to go. He needs a makeover in the show.
I think his Clark Kent/neutral-loving-nerd vibe is working for the character so far. We’ll see if his wardrobe changes as his character evolves and falls in love.
The part that got me in the first episode was when PMY’s glasses fogged up when she was eating the noodles. I liked it in that moment as a relatable event most of us have experienced at one time or another, but also later, when it became the reason for NIW’s character to remove his glasses.
That soup-fogging-glasses-removing Clark Kent moment was indeed well played.
I also don’t mind the wardrobe so far as a Clark Kent character. I also wouldn’t mind it improving further down the line when he reveals his superhero self!
The ML’s clothes also remind me about the complaints we had about the ML’s clothes in that other time-traveling betrayed wife revenge drama.
