    And for the real Nugget Nerds. Out of its original context, I decided this gif might be a little too gross for my OP :).

    I want to add it for posterity though because, not only is this scene super-funny in episode 6–not least because of how this couple flees in the end–but also because I want to note that this is one time that the subbers got the beat of the joke better than the dubbers. Let it not be said that I did not THOROUGHLY STUDY BOTH TRANSLATIONS! 😎

          I’ve given “what wasthat stuff, really?” far more thought than it deserves. It looked too real.

          I’ll have to go back and listen with subs – I watched the show dubbed, as you suggested. The slurping was a little hard to handle and I doubt it will be easier in the original Korean, but that scene was one of many where I had to pause because I was laughing too hard to hear the dialogue. I bet the actors had fun with that scene.

            I was gross-screech-yech-laughing like a little kid at this because it was almost unbearably gross, but so funny!! Having that couple there to see that and pretend it was normal while trying not to freak out was PERFECT. I tried not to think about what it was because it looked SO REAL 😱😱😱

          Yes, I also gave some thought to wondering what they made that of because it looked so realistic. I decided it was like the plastic-rubber food displays outside of restaurants in Japan. Do NOT make me think about whether they were actually swallowing 🤢

    By the time I reached the last episode I was so bored and disinterested I just stopped paying attention, it seems! 🤣🙈
