Can anyone with a golden heart show me how things work here? Like, how can I add the shows I’ve watched…

Would truly appreciate anyone’s helping hand. 🙂

I have little to no knowledge to share, but wanted to say I love your name.

To add shows you’ve watched, go to a recap of that show and click “favorite” in the show header.

You add shows to your “My Shows” by going to a shows home page and clicking the “favorites” button located near the top. The favorite button is also on all the recaps for easy access.

Welcome @geagie (TheTravellingBookworm)!

Here are some quick tips:

Adding your favorite shows
1- Use website’s search to find recaps and posts about specific dramas
2- Click on the blue “favorite” button on the show’s banner. Even shows DB isn’t recapping might have a banner because they’ll use it for posts about premieres etc.
3- The chosen state now says “favorited” and you’ll see it in your account “My Shows” page.

Using styles in your comments
I don’t think I can use [pre] tags here so imagine that every
[ =

Italic
Bold
[blockquote]Blockquote[/blockquote]

Below I used the correct open/close brackets
Italic
Bold

Blockquote

Adding longer comments to your fan wall:
1- Type your comment with desired styles in a separate file
2- Paste using command-v (or whatever your keyboard shortcut is) directly into the text field. Do not do anything else—your text will be truncated to the character count. You will be able to add up to four photographs regardless of your text length.

the open and closed brackets disappeared when I published this comment. If you’re using an English language keyboard, it’s the brackets on the comma and period keys.

If you’re using Chrome, you can right click, choose “inspect” and look at the code to see the styles too.

@tsutsuloo by separate file, you mean something like MS Word? Do I have to write my comment using Ms Word and then cut & paste here? I tried just now and my comment was truncated to the character count. 🙁

I apologize; I was wrong about using keyboard shortcuts. You have to do it via your mouse right click. (I just tested.) Word, Text, Notepad, etc. all work. Note that you still have to do the styles manually with the angle brackets in order for styles to display correctly in DB.

If you’re on a desktop, try the cut and paste with your mouse commands. Adding anything extra once you’ve pasted will snick! truncate your longer posts.

@tsutsuloo has already answered your question and added a few more handy suggestions..

I would also like to add, post about things you want to on your fan wall.. You can post images, gifs, videos and links..

You can also “follow” other beanies by going on their profile page and clicking on the “follow” tab.. You can upvote posts/comments you like and in general just explore other beanies’s fan walls :)… To see recent posts, click on the “beanies” tab on the top of the page and scroll down and click on “more fan posts”..

All these activities will lead to level upgrades which are just fun things and don’t really give you any advantages or anything..

Welcome to DB.. hope you have fun here 🙂
