Checking out C-drama A Love So Beautiful on Beanies’ recommendations. What an angst-free fluff fest that oozes so much sweetness and charm! For those who is drawn to height difference, they cannot even fit in the same frame 😆
It is hilarious when the kids try to talk like they are in a period drama or make up funny slangs, or try to fake poetics where I can see a non-Mandarin speaker would not be able to fully immerse in all the funny. This makes me think about how much I lose by not understanding Korean when I watch all these Kdramas! Definitely need to put learning Korean on my list!
Love 020 was totally cracktastic! I did have to get over the look of the CGI, but at least it is suppose to look unrealistic because they are literally in a game.
OMG I can stare at his gorgeous head all day. I think over some stretches of Love020, that’s literally what I did. Just gawked, and plots came very far second.
LOVE 020 is cracktacularly flufftastic. It also has one of the best implied same sex romances I’ve seen in a drama. The wordplay had me laughing out loud.
My only complaint with the show is the lead female got so thin I was concerned for her.
“cracktacularly flufftastic”, 😂😂😂 this is definitely my favorite descriptor this week!!
I always get so nervous seeing same-sex romances in Asian dramas because they are almost never portrayed with enough sensitivity. But when it is done well, I am just so tickled!
I am only a few episodes in, but the drama is just soooooo adorable. No one is annoying, and it and it just feels like I am watching these normal kids living their lives.
I totally loved watching everyone’s character development, esp. Xiao Xi’s when they reached the present timeline. She’s so fre@kin adorable omgggg I love watching her do just about anything.

So far, it’s everything one would expect from an youth drama but the dialogues sometimes are surprisingly funny

I loved how the gang just reacted to and supported the relationship without making a big deal of it. And, they were adorable.

And for the most part their character development makes sense and seems natural.
Also, the school doctor is complete eye candy.

I waited till it was completely subbed and binge watched it over 1 long weekend…great choice for fluff fest
but I kinda cringe sometimes on the dialogues,I’m just not sure if it’s actually the dialogue or how they were translated..
