The mom is so selfish! Ugh. After what she’s been through, I don’t feel sorry for her at all. I don’t even wish for her to have a happy ending with both Shin.

    Why is that selfish? The robot is hers to do as she pleases. However, this switch is only there for dramatic purposes, she would just change his face like in INAR, she doesn’t need to stop him and she wouldn’t, he is very useful.

      You said it yourself that she can do as she pleases, so she’s selfish imo. I know it’s just a robot to her, but she created a robot with human feelings, which is why I just can’t accept how she treats her so-called robot “son”. I don’t watch INAR, but from what I see now, she doesn’t seem to care about Nam Shin III that much now that her real son has returned.

        Wait, if someone has an object, are they selfish if they decide to dispose of it? It IS just an object. And where was it said the robot has human feelings and how would that be possible? I know the show tries to sell this idea but it doesn’t make sense. I use the thesis that he is just programmed to act as if he has feelings.

          OK Lixie, you’ve your own opinion and I have mine. I’m more to emotional type of person which I feel the emotions that Nam Shin III bring into this drama and I feel sorry for him. The fact that this drama creates a human robot that looks and acts exactly like a human doesn’t make sense, but it’s selling the message between humane and inhumane behaviors and I’m buying it.

          @lixie
          “she created an object to fill the void she was feeling when her son was snatched” very true I agree.
          But the way she treated the robo… as SON was giving a perception to viewers that she considers it not just another object… and those emotions are not of robot but of us viewers who are feeling for that robot.

          Second… kill switch…
          if she wouldn’t have shown her so called motherly side towards the robot then this kill switch wouldn’t be a big issue. But at one hand she treats robot as A Son and not an object and other hand she is all set to destroy it cause it served its purpose to make her feel she had a son… that’s selfishness which we are angry abt.

          Thats completely my opinion as to how i see her character.

            Well, like I said I don’t think she doesn’t care for the robot, show is just trying to be overly dramatic, she doesn’t have any reason to kill the robot and every creator likes his creation even those that are not even fake sons. But let’s go with the idea that she felt this was necessary, I still wouldn’t say she is being selfish because he has no actual feelings. If he was just a plastic doll I think people would encourage her to get rid of it, for her own benefit.
