I did but was too busy too listen yesterday. Hoping I can try to get at least one episode in today. They seem a reasonable length – 45ish minutes each? I can’t wait to hear Tablo ramblings.
The first is definitely a ramble, lol. The second is more cohesive with the talk centering mostly on stories from his last tour and prior ones. The story that had Pharrell as a peripheral character made me laugh.
Haven’t tried the third one yet. He wants viewer stories, because he likes a good story. That could be fun because I do too, but otherwise it feels a bit scattershot.
Still haven’t listened (but am listening to Sleepless in __________ right now as I wait for the weekend) but I’m not surprised – I suspect it’ll take a bit of time to figure out what exactly he wants to do with it. I’m OK with it being a bit rambly – but so long as it’s interesting I’m good. He’s got a charismatic personality and is a gifted storyteller and writer so I think once he figures out a direction it could be really great.
Also: you’re a Lainey fan, right? Have you listened to her podcast, Show Your Work? It’s one of my personal favorites and has changed the way I view celebrity culture. I love her obsession with work.
I’ve only listened to a couple of them. I liked the Taylor Swift one that they did after the trial. I was just going to say my lack of listening is because I listen mostly on Spotify, it is just convenient, but then I realized I was just assuming she didnt post there. Checked and she does. I’d wanted to listen to the Keanu one, so that is on for the weekend.
Her T.Swift analysis is always so spot on and I was so sad that she went back to playing the victim again after that whole thing. I really liked their take on the Constance Wu kerfuffle earlier this year too.
