Anyone know: what’s the Netflix deal with My Country and Lies Within? It seems they’re not showing any more episodes. Is there a Season 2? Later? Very annoying.
They stopped showing ‘upcoming’ for Camellia as well but the episodes still dropped. No clue what’s happening with My Country since the most recent episodes aren’t there. I’m not even watching the show but still checked out of curiosity. It’s really weird.
@leetennant Mon a.m. MY COUNTRY: Netflix says “new episodes coming on Tues.”
TALE OF NOKDU: I’m not reading the recaps because I don’t want anyone else’s opinion (that happens when I love a drama), but just watched the next two episodes raw. It seems to be extremely loosely related to Prince Neungyang (Yool-moo later King Injo) with Nokdu loosely based on King Gwanghaegun, who reigned briefly after his father’s death, then was overthrown in the coup and exiled to Jeju (which would fit their wanting to go to the ocean). Probably this is being talked about on the recaps and everyone’s aware of it – I’m assuming.
@leetennant And if they stay true to kdrama style, the ending will be that Nokdu is exiled to Jeju, where she’s waiting for him by the seashore. Last scene…
A cynic might think they are re-purposing the final episodes as season 2 🙂 So Netfix didn’t license the extra episodes… just saying that they were too incompetent to notice that there are more episodes is too easy. And saying that they couldn’t afford to license them would not be very credible.

They stopped showing upcoming episodes for Lies a while ago but they still upload every new episode, so I’m not worried. Episode 12 is up.
No idea what’s up with My Country, though.

I’ve watched Ep 12. We’ll see what happens. But now it doesn’t even show up on my “continue watching” list.

Ha – I really shouldn’t complain about My Country since I ff thru everything but the Yang Se Jong scenes. Yes, I’m shallow like that.

The fact that Yulmoo will be King Injo, yes. The fact that Nokdu is King Gwanghaegun, no. That’s an interesting tidbit that I will share.

You didn’t really answer my question…or did you?
I loathe when they divide up the seasons.
