Ahn Bo-hyun began his entertainment career as a model before making his acting debut in the 2014 KBS2 drama Golden Cross. In 2016, he landed a recurring role in the hit KBS2 series Descended From the Sun. That same year, he made his big screen debut in the film Hiya, where he played the troublemaker older brother to Hoya’s character. In 2019, he was cast in a supporting role in the tvN romantic comedy Her Private Life. His acting breakthrough came in 2020 in the JTBC series Itaewon Class. His memorable portrayal of one of the drama’s villains earned him a Best New Actor nomination at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. Also in 2020, Ahn Bo-hyun starred in the MBC fantasy thriller Kairos, in which he won the Best New Actor trophy at the MBC Drama Awards.
Ahn Bo-hyun used to join amateur boxing matches and even won a gold medal in one of his fights. He is good friends with EXO’s Sehun, whom he worked with in the action web series Dokgo Rewind. He is also very close with his fellow model-turned-actor Kim Woo-bin.
