Jung Hae-kyun started acting in theater before making his big screen debut in the 2000 comedy film Ghost Taxi. In 2003, he was cast in director Lee Jun-ik’s war comedy movie Once Upon a Time in a Battlefield. In 2012, he appeared in the action-thriller film Confession of Murder and then played a detective in the 2013 thriller Montage. In 2016, he became part of several hit TV series such as tvN’s Signal and KBS2’s Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. Also in 2016, he made a cameo in the action film The Villainess, which had its world premiere at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. In 2017, he portrayed Seo Ye-ji’s father in OCN’s Rescue Me. Later that year, he starred in the blockbuster fantasy-action film Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds. In 2018, he returned for its sequel titled Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days. In 2021, he joined the tvN drama Navillera.
