Kim Sa-rang first came into limelight when she was crowned Miss Korea in 2000. That same year, she made her acting debut in the SBS drama Anger of Angel. She then represented her country in Miss Universe 2001 held in Puerto Rico, where she won Best National Costume. In 2005, she acted alongside Rain and Shin Mina in KBS2’s A Love to Kill, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2008, she was paired with Kim Tae-woo in the four-episode Korean-Japanese co-production drama Tokyo Showers, which aired on SBS. In 2010, she joined the main cast of the hit SBS fantasy romantic comedy Secret Garden, which gave her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2015, she led JTBC’s Beloved Eun-dong along with Joo Jin-mo. Her work in the series scored her Excellence Award nominations at the 8th Korea Drama Awards and the 4th APAN Star Awards. In 2020, she headlined the high-rating TV Chosun mystery melo Get Revenge.


Kim Sa-rang holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in traditional Korean music from Yong In University.
