Lee Re began her career as a model before debuting as a child actress in Channel A’s Goodbye Wife in 2012. The following year, she made her big screen debut in director Lee Jun-ik’s Hope, which was selected as Best Film at the 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards. The movie also won her Best Supporting Actress at the 4th Beijing International Film Festival. In 2014, she starred in the film How to Steal a Dog, which earned her the Best New Actress trophy at the 4th Marie Claire Film Festival. In 2017, she was named Best Young Actress at the KBS Drama Awards for her portrayal of the young counterpart of Jung Ryeo-won’s character in Witch’s Court. In 2020, she appeared in the action horror film Peninsula, which is a standalone sequel to the blockbuster zombie movie Train to Busan. She took home the Best Supporting Actress honors at the 29th Buil Film Awards for her work in the film. In 2021, she bagged another Best Young Actress trophy at the KBS Drama Awards for Hello? It’s Me!


Lee Re is the youngest of three siblings.
