Thank you so much for the support uri DB wooga squad. So greatful for all our interactions. I really really really love (nomu nomu nomu chuae) this DB found family. How wonderful is it to be able to express oneself so freely.

We all start watching K-dramas for the sheer joy of it. After all (channeling Sleepless in Seattle) we don’t just want to be in love, we want to be in love in a K-drama, complete with the bows and whistles.

Unasked for (but equally welcome) our K-dramas let us experience positivity, healing and life lessons. We learn how to go about leading an enriching life and how important it to:

communicate effectively, share our feelings, emotions, sadness, hopes, aspirations with our trusted few and not suffer alone,

support, take care of well-being and be a cheerleader to ourselves and others,

be open to love (being loved and giving love) to our otp, family and friends,

enjoy making and eating delicious meals together,

spending time together, going out or just hanging out on roop tops with our loved ones (food, snacks and drinks mandatory),

make and be a daebak friend (uri chinggu, my friend, mon ami, watashi no tomodachi),

deal with big and small heart breaks, and overcome tragedies,

take care of ourselves, all the while wearing fabulous clothes (with winter coats and awesome hats, if possible) and good shoes (as they take you to good places),

start and maintain a beauty regimen to ensure smooth, poreless skin (bonus points for chatting with friends with face mask on),

take up a hobby (other than K-dramas!), read books (so we can drop awesome literary references like our K-drama leads), play a sport or musical instrument,

go on trips, beaches, amusement parks,

basically live our lives with openness, love, kindness and believing that good things happen to good people.

K-dramas are so emotionally engaging (and hence addictive) that unbeknownst to ourselves we start identifying with the characters and rooting for them to succeed in life (Still 17, At 18, Shopaholic Louis, Miss Panda and Mr. Hedgehog, My Absolute Boyfriend, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, True Beauty, Chief Kim, Just Between Lovers, Come and Hug Me, Revolutionary Love, Warm and Cozy).

Of course the yin to this yang of K-drama watching experience is scary villainous turns by our favorite actors.

Voice, Mouse, Strangers from Hell, Missing You, Hello Monster, Somebody.

With what seems like a touch of Su Mun’s Uncanny Counter territory summoning powers these same actors can also take 180 degree turn in other dramas and enchant us with their positive vibes.

Her Private Life, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, Touch Your Heart, Moonshine,ย  Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, The Secret Life of My Secretary.

The DB wooga squad embraces us whole heartedly, let’s us put in practice all these K-drama learnings, offers us a safe space to share our joy of drama watching, venting our frustration on illogical drama narratives and freedom to express ourselves completely. It is so liberating!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you my DB wooga squad.

What a nice way of putting it. There I was just thinking I was hopelessly indulgent and obsessive.
