Hometown. HE POLICED WHAT HYE JIN WAS WEARING. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

She’s trying to open a clinic in a town full of elderly people. He said himself that she’s right, it shouldn’t matter what she wears, but she already shot herself in the foot and even something as little as that can make a difference when she’s literally not getting any patients coming in her door. He wasn’t saying “You shouldn’t be wearing that outfit because it makes you look (insert whatever degrading term you want)”, he was saying “The grannies in town think the dentist goes running in her underwear so it might be a good idea to wear something else if you want to win them back” (which she does). I didn’t have much of a problem with it TBH. It was fine in context.

If it wasn’t directly related to her main problem of finding potential patients it would be a different story.

He the wrong messenger because he has been a douche to her since he met her.

I actually read this lot of postings before I started watching Ep 1 and 2. Agreed wholeheartedly with Mindy’s take. I’d never see him as policing what she wears but giving her well-meaning and practical advice if she and her business were to survive.

He literally told those women about themselves and then backtracked because he likes the power he has and then made it her fault. He is a busybody.

This just seems like bad faith criticism to me tbh.

What he was trying to say was that when you are in Rome you should behave like Romans, and not expect Rome to be adapted to your lifestyle.
