Happy Friday / weekend

Checked out Still Marry Me today. Hmm. Not convinced yet. Agree with samsookie - Kim bum not nearly as cool or hot as he / director seems to think he is. But only done 1.5 eppies so jury still out.

@ celestialorigin

how's the weather in Tokyo? What's fun to watch on tv? I was just thinking wt clothes to pack for next week. I always feel I should put in more effort when I go to japan. I'll never be cutting edge fashionable, but at least I should try not to look like a dog...

will also have to practice saying "I don't understand" in Japanese. Not too many foreigners where I hang out & they always seem to assume I'm japanese, tho I don't think I look it.

Happy OT Friday y'all!

Totally agree about Still Marry Me...it's so adorable, I'm not even watching the last 2 eps because I'm not ready for it to be over! :-( Kim Bum is really good in this, you guys will be surprised.

Everyone have a great day, I'm trying to talk myself into being productive today (not having much luck though)!

Kim bum is adorable in Still Marry me. I seem to squeal every time he is on. But the highlight of the show has to be the ladies. I can associate with each of them and each of them are so cool in their own way,

Happy Friday!
CONCERNING K-H HITTING P-G!
Domestic Violence occurs in every society, here in the US we do not see it being portray in TV or Cinema, nevertheless is among us
it touches all social strata's and is something that we all must be concern about. Having said that me being from a Latino background it is very prevalent in our culture something of which I am not proud of, I am a recovering Violence Perpetrator, I am not proud of what I did in the past but I am proud that I have been violence free since 1994 it has been a long road but thank God I am a different person than I was back then. There is absolutely no reason why the writer and director used that ploy if only for shock effect. The fact that K-H and P-H went on as it never happen is what is most disturbing about that scene because it says a lot a bout the attitude of the Korean culture concerning Domestic Violence. "There is never any valid or appropriate time to HIT a Woman" I may sound self righteous, but we must remember than when that happens our Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, etc, etc, are the ones who are being hit, and Men who grow witnessing Domestic Violence Are 100% more prone to become Violent Offenders, we must always teach the men in our life's that hitting a woman is something that should never been done, and we must also teach our woman never to allowed this to happen to them, for we must remember that woman who witness Domestic Violence as children tend to become victims in greater numbers, we all must do our part to stop the "Cycle of Violence"... Peace to ya all!!!!!!!

Happy friday to all!!! Just wanted to say how much of a fan of "wishing for the stars" I am. I am loving the cast and the story and I think it's so heartwarming^^ I love watching it while I enjoy drinking a warm cup of darjeeling tea, which prompts me to ask: am I the only want to enjoy eating specific food while watching a drama, or does any of you have some kind of eating rituals or habits when watching a show? I know it sounds kind of strange but I can't picture myself watching a drama if I don't eat, what about you all?

BTW @Serendipity, I'll be in Tokyo the same week as you (read it on the previous OT thread).

So excited!! Fun fun fun! :)

i'm so LOVING!!!! Still Marry Me!!! I adore Kim Bum much much more now... i mean, i knew he was talented.. but WOW!!! i just LUB him so much!!!!

i heart his singing voice.. the way he seduced the camera while singing.. awesomeness.. one complaint: i wish he would open his mouth more, he's keeping it in, when he could really be belting it out... i was really surprised by how good he is...

i want me a BooKi.. she's the best friend a friend could have... beautiful, confident, down to earth yet crazy over the top when called on, and so wise.. she's the epitome of awesomeness.

i'm so happy to actually be watching a drama at the same time as other ppl.. but i'm also sad to see it's gonna be ending soon. SMM is SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!

Happy Friday everyone! Going out w/ my two best friends on a shopping trip this weekend. Can't wait to spend quality time w/ them. hopefully i'll not argue too much. lol.

Agree- Still Marry Me is very entertaining despite the under-rated ratings.
The man called god is a little awkward. I am looking forward to Personal Taste
and the Korean version of Petto. So happy to hear JGS will lead. Wonder who the
female actress will be

If I am in tokyo, I think I'll go dig out for nodame cantabile finale dvds and cartoons.
I just watched it last nite in the cinema in Sgp. It was excellent. I highly recommend
this series to you

Happy Friday party people.

Last week I watched Spring Waltz; prettiest drama I have EVER seen omg it left me in awe half the time. Also it has the most completely, giddily happy ending I have ever seen. Utopia no less. The OTP were gorgeous, how does Han Hyo Joo manage to create such thoroughly epic OTPs? Total dream.

WUAS is so freaking awesome IDEK. Jae Young's face becomes more and more disturbing by the episode, can someone please help her?

Off to work on essays~

Good morning, all you DBers,
I am on my way to work, just dropping by to say hi to everyone. 0)
It's such a beautiful day in Southern Ca. The sun is just gorgeous.
Since I have been quite busy with life the last couple weeks, I didn't have a chance to post anything. But I still found time to watch WUAS. (You all know watching Kdrama should be on the priority list of life, right?) Love WUAS. (Will not get into the "slapping" topic...:0)
I learned a new lesson as Kdrama newbie: never follow the show, watch it when
it's finished airing. 0) Those cliffhangers drive me crazy...can't believe I am that addicted. 0) I also discovered that my initial CP stands for Coffee Prince. 0) That cracks me up. All you expert out there probably thought that I am a CP fan. I haven't even watched it. Hmm, maybe that's what I will do this weekend. Don't want to get mix up with Coffee Prince, I will change my initial to CPW, CP of the west coast. 0)
Have a good day, and chat with you all later.

I was totally ready to hate Still Marry Me, but I'm so happy I decided to start watching. I'm seriously in love with the series!

I think the friendship between the three women is wonderfully fun to follow, and Kim Bum is a much better match for Par Jin Hee than I thought he would be. I hope we end up with an R1 DVD edition of this!

Happy Friday!

Just spent the night catching up on LYATT. It was enjoyable, but some judicious fast forwarding was essential. It seemed like the writers decided to give up and just throw in the whole kitchen sink of makjang elements. Of course they couldn't leave out cancer, but really, early onset Alzheimers? Was that supposed to be a justification for the evil mother-in-law's behavior over the whole show? Oh well, it's my own fault for watching a weekend drama.

@langdon813
Good luck trying to be productive! Maybe we can talk each other into it. Off to do laundry now...hopefully will make it through more than one load before quitting.

ahhhh i can't believe it's friday already! I had spent my entire spring break doing homework and projects. i guess it will be worth it not having to stress about those assignments this coming week.

I've been trying to figure out which taiwanese drama to watch now- checked out Because of You, Down With Love, and P.S.Man and have decided to stick with P.S.Man. Lan Cheng Long is just too gorgeous not to watch. It's strange to see Sonia Sui go from the femme fatale character in Black and White to the nerdy, glasses character in P.S.Man.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

So apparently I can still go on DB at my new job. Dono what I would do without OT hehe.

First week of the new job is almost through. It's been interesting. It's not DIFFICULT but it's challenging. Anything new is challenging though, right? A lot of new things to learn and details to watch out for. I was given the company's biggest account, so I have to be extra careful not to mess up or else BIG TROUBLE ha.

All these comments I'm skimming through about SMM makes me want to watch it NOW. but i have so many things on my plate right now I don't have time. Started Love Shuffle last night and breezed through 3 episodes before I had to pass out. Everyone has been right so far - it's a good drama! Tamaki Hiroshi's character is like, 180 from his Nodame character. Amazing change. And Matsuda Shota has NEVER. BEEN. HOTTER. like omg i want me a piece of that. a big piece. The story and conversations they have is interesting as well. Thoroughly enjoying it and can't wait to finish it up this weekend!

If anybody lives near a Pure Barre studio - GO TRY IT OUT. I've gone to only a few classes and I am totally addicted. It's hard and it hurts but I am totally in love. I wish I could go everyday but 1) my body would die and 2) i don't have the time or money. So 3 times a week will have to suffice. Love Love Love!!

@ twin

Have fun on your shopping trip!! You deserve a break from life hehe. I hope you don't argue too much with your besties either! But that's the best thing about besties - you can argue and fight, but in the end know that they'll always be there :)

Happy Friday everyone. I am usually a silent reader and enjoy the conversation shown in OT. However, today, I am so tired and can't think straight anymore. I need to find a place to vent my anger with the people I work with. They are incomprehensible now. This is ridiculous. I am some kinda of slave or something. I did not leave my lab until 2:30AM. Then I thought I supposed to be in the lab early to help other partner remove empty nitrogen gas tanks. Well, as I thought this week could not be worse than this, that partner blew me up. So I ended in lab at 8:30AM with few hours of sleep and nothing is done. This is so frustrating. Moreover, there is one hella bossy grad student in my lab. She literally preserved the machine in a schedule that only fits her and represents me to book my schedule for using that machine without me confirming with her. What the heck !!!!!! I am in anti-people mood right now.

Thank you for letting me venting out my anger.

Happy Friday!!!!! ;P

so from OT #124 someone mentioned 'tales of the Otori', i've yet to find someone else other than 1 other friend of mine who has read it. These book are soooo good I remember hearing like 4 years ago there was going to be a movie but yet still no progress :(. Has anyone else read the books in this series, what did you think of them?

Oh yes and another book that stole my heart, 'Secrets of the jin shei' has anyone read this one? I was like 16 when i first read it and i've been trying to get my hands on a copy with the english cover (imo its the prettiest, im really picky about the books that go in my "collection") Though the follow up was a massive let down seeing as how vivid and well written the first one was.

Happy Aloha Friday!

Jang Geun Suk has chosen a project that is from a Japanese drama titled Kimi Wa Petto.....check out the story....it's hilarious! Great acting by Japanese female who was in The Last Samurai, Koyuko. male lead is Matsumoto Jun who was in Hana Yori Dango....korean drama was Boys Before Flowers. It will be interesting to see who the female lead with JGS will be.

Last 2 episodes of Wish Upon A Star this coming week! A lot to wrap up on the loose ends.

If you want to check out 2 fun dramas....Taiwanese Down With Love (Jerry Yan) and P.S. Man (Lan Cheng Long)......if you like to look at handsome fellas....those 2 are really heart throbs!!! Especially LCL! :-)

Suggestions on where to buy your plane ticket? Where are you flying from? I fly from Chicago, since one of UAL's main hub is here, I got a good deal for a direct flight at the time of my purchase -- $680+. I got it directly from United. But I usually buy tickets from Travelocity.

But if you're asking for suggestions on transportation, what to see, what to avoid in Tokyo. I also have a few.

Good Friday to all! It is officially Sat over here. I gave out high fives to the working class at the financial centre on monday and seeing those smiles on their faces made the rest of my week :) Not to mention WUAS! Also started watching ob-gyn and it's pretty addictive, plot wise. Song Joong Ki as a cute doctor doesn't help as well :) Those who are thinking of starting a new drama, try ob-gyn!

Hi everyone. Happy Friday.

End of another frustrating week... I'll have to work on the weekend, but I'll also be starting to watch my new YB dvds! Very excited about that.

I'm sad about Wish Upon A Star ending next week! I started watching Birth of the Rich and I might keep going with it. Also looking forward to Personal Taste. And maybe I should try Pasta, b/c people keep saying how much they like it. I don't like the lead actress (I found her a bit shrill/flat in Biscuit Teacher) but I see the positive comments here so maybe I would like her better in this. Hmmm.

Or I might just take some time to mourn the passing of WUAS. I will miss Pa-Rang the most!!

It's raining and grey and I slept in today b/c it was so dark I thought it couldn't be morning. So now my whole day is out of whack.

@7 Toya,

I totally agree with you about A Man Called God. I was really excited about this drama, even though I hate his new look. I like him better with a fuller face (jumong-whew Hot)

I feel like I'm watching some B drama on the Syfy channel. The special effects, the acting, it editing. It's all weird. It's like the director said I must use every beautiful shot I have of Hawaii whether it makes sense are not.

Having said all of that I am going to keep watching. I remember Ilimae had a crappy start but It got much better as time went on, so I am hoping for the same here.

Happy Friday! Just watched Rabbit and Lizard the other day (Sung Yuri fan) and I thought it was really good, sad yet optimistic. It was the first I've seen of Jang Hyuk and I was impressedd enough that I started on Chuno. Pretty good so far although I do agree with the complaints that LDH looks a little too kempt for a slave but no biggy. Hey can anyone tell me how Rabbit and Lizard did in the box office? It's SY's first feature movie so I'm curious to see how well it did. Please let me know, thanks!

Once our busy season hits I'll be acclimated to this job - at that point i'll probably not be on OT [as much] cuz it'll be insane here. But for now, helloooooos :) Ok seriously with all the SMM comments - i want to watch!!!!!!! As for jdoramas, start with Hana Yori Dango or Nodame Cantabile - pure fun and <3!

i'm really anticipating Personal Taste, Cinderella's Sister, and Oh My Lady. those dramas are really getting hyped up for me. WOW. a whole drama is cursed because of one new actor? excuse the language, but it must be the bitch in me: dramatic much?

Although I'm sad to see WUAS end (no more Nami!), I'm looking forward to the next round of new dramas, but I'll probably only have time to watch just one. So, I can't wait to see what dramas will be recapped on dramabeans.

Dropping bye to say Happy Friday :)

I watched Pasta ep 18 yesterday. I am thoroughly confused about the relationship. All they do is fight, yell and scream at each other. Are they really in love? It is absolutely dysfunctional. Any one else think this or is it just me? I'm leaning toward weak script as an explanation.....

For those who have seen Chuno past Ep 16: Do the girls have more a role. I sensed a girl power moment at the end of 16?? If they do, this would extremely welcome. Also was there a crack in the perfection that is Tae Ha?

Today's the beginning of spring break for me! I have a paper due today that I'm going to turn in later, and the first 10 pages of my senior sem are TECHNICALLY due today but he's letting us turn them late (as long as he has them by Monday morning), so I have a busy day ahead of me. Also, this evening a bunch of friends and I are going over to UofI for Korean barbecue and noraebang-ing (there's nothing like that in our college town, unfortunately). Then we're coming back and drinking soju until we go blind. SWEET.

Anyone else watching Birth of the Rich? I've only seen the first episode so far, but it was kind of fun. Not so much feeling LBY as the lead, but I am so in love with NGM it isn't even funny, so I'll probably keep watching it. It's not one of those shows I feel compelled to watch unsubbed as it's airing though (like WUAS *_*), so I'll just wait around for subs unless they get too far behind.

I've also been watching A Good Day For the Wind to Blow, which is surprisingly adorable and easy to watch. I like having the 30-minute episodes every day because I'm more likely to keep on top of them because they're frequent and short. Also, Jin Yi Han is ADORABLE. So darling. I liked him in Who Are You, but he's so wonderful here.. :3

@26 kaedejun

I've had Marriage War on my computer since it aired, but I've been reluctant to watch it without subs. Is there a subbing team working on it, or is it just available at Viikii? (I don't like Viikii for some reason. :/)
